is there a chart here that Shala puts people 's weight on?

Yes, Shala posts the chart a couple of times a week. If you post what you want to lose, Shala will add you. So it's easier for her to see please make your text bold or large or in colour

More mummy guilt lush, poor you. I'm sure wonderbairn will be none the worse for a bump. It happens. I reckon your cheese and milkybar won't be more than 10 between them. Low fat cheese could even be less.

You sound as if you need cheering up lantanna. Couldn't you tuck in bed early with hot chocolate (low syn of course;)) and your trashy mag. Much more SW friendly!!

Could somebody let me know how to do 'quotes' here and also where would I find the weight chart you have been talking about?

    Jill

I think you might be thinking of the Slinky Santa challenge chart that the lovely shala is keeping for us. Many of us have signed up with a target of what we'd like to lose by Christmas and report in after WI each week. She posts the chart at weekends generally.

I always tick the speech bubble next to the quote button as well jill. It's meant for multi quoting but I find it helps.

I was in Farmfoods today and the guy in the queue behind me had these little microwaveable steam bags of rice and mixed veg on the conveyor. The veg looked mostly sweetcorn and peas from what I could see rice looked crisp and long grain. He said although labelled 50p they were actually 39p. Looked a generous single portion. On line they're apparently free. I thought it might help someone. I might try some myself for lazy days.

I went to another group for weigh and go this morning. Gained half a pound.:( That's not too bad considering I'm maintaining and it's in almost 4 weeks. Unfortunately I'm dangerously close to top of target range. Would love to have a straight couple of weeks on plan but at this time of year it just ain't going to happen so taking each day as it comes.:)

Hopefully you'll get back in range this week MrsR. Anything to stop you? (said in best consultant voice)

    My EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB toast, HEA milk, baked beans
L: ham, pickled cabbage, fried potato and veg
D: cottage pie with cauli, broccoli and cabbage and maybe peas as I just love peas with mash.
Syns: none planned but may do gravy to go with the pie

Well done on the loss greentiger :T

Lantanna and the others who mentioned, I can join you in the 30's club :D although I've got less than a year left :(

I had 5 really good on-plan days. Then things kicked off again with our alcoholic relatives who have ups (functioning alcoholic) and downs (falling down drunk/depressed/in hospital with injuries sustained while drunk/having police called to check on their safety) and the stress and myriad phonecalls between family have taken their toll on the diet and time to cook.

If their stupid issues have cost me my next shiny I'll be even more cross with them

Hi, please can I join the slow and steadies! I'd love to join Lantanna to keep you company, but just scrape into the steady group instead. Ah well I did enjoy being in my thirties, tho the forties weren't bad. Hope the fifties turn out ok even if it's a bit more slow and steady!

Well done Greentigeron loosing this week:)

Lush and Lantanna hope you feel better soon. Have a lovely winter evening pampering yourself and spending a bit of me time doing whatever it takes to cheer yourself up (only try not to break open too many chocs or wine!) :D

Our heating boiler has decided to pack up, so it's getting pretty cold here! The plumber was meant to be coming to fix it this afternoon, but hasn't turned up yet, so don't know if we'll see him now tonight, so i'll be digging out the hot water bottles later :rotfl:

I've done the bbq chicken drumsticks with sw chips and salad for tea, out if the fakeaway book. It's smelling amazing, can't wait for it to finish cooking :)

Hope you all have a good evening, especially if anyone has WI tonight.

Well I have been to my diabetic clinic and I asked the nurse if any of my
medication could stop me from losing weight and yes she said that some did. I also take a beta blocker which she said slows things down which helps the heart. This I must take, so, I have to put up with 1lb off sts, 1lb on 1lb off and so it goes.
But, all my stats are excellent and she said I must be eating correctly she looked back at my record prior to doing SW and my stats were awful and I was warned that it would be insulin if I didn't improve and I have Yippee!

Very poorly tonight, won't make group 😷
  • Hi - just popping on to post - I achieved my target today!!!!

Lost 3st 2.5lbs in seven months - not mega fast, but steady - and we have been away rather a lot in that time as well.

Now just have to see if this is my best weight or if I need to tweak it - but perhaps will try and sts for a while first!!

Having a glass of red to celebrate!

Keep up the good work everyone. x
