Saver Upper - I can't really remember whether you've just started, but when I just started, I didn't lose much for the first two weeks, but since then I've lost 2lbs every week, I think the first couple of weeks I was eating more pasta/rice/potato than I would normally, I'm quite a small eater, but I was eating it because I was scared of getting hungry and snacking, since then, my appetite has dropped and I'm back to my smaller portions and am losing well - maybe this?

    My menu for today:

B: Toast, marmite, flora light (.5) and 5 g of peanut butter on half a slice of the toast. (1.5)
    S: Banana at work
L: Rice, chicken, mushrooms, onions, celery, (i didn't really like this so I put a teaspoon of sweet chilli in it so .5 syn) (I still didn't like it so didn't eat it and put it in the bin ha ha ) (.5)
S: So then I ate 3 rustic ryvita bakes with a scrape of philly (part of hexa, milk other part) (4)
d: SW spag bol (but with lean pork mince) peppers, onions, carrots, mushrooms, courgettes
S: Frozen after dinner mint yoghurt

    Syns 6.5 so far :)

  • Saver-upper - I know how frustrated you feel. Last time I started the plan I decided to run two packs of the pill together and gained every week for 5 weeks then had a massive 8lb loss on the 6th week!! Is it possible it could be related to your hormones in any way? I'm on * week and STS this week even though I have been really good. It's annoying but given I can put on up to half a stone in * week then it was a pretty good result all round.

Someone else mentioned you maybe just need to spend a bit of time in the toilet.......have you tried prune juice???? Some superspeed mushy peas and a glass of that usually does the trick for me!! :rotfl:

Try not to get downhearted, if you are following the plan then it WILL pay off eventually. It's awful though when you feel like you are trying so hard and not getting anywhere but I'm sure it'll come good for you in the end. Just gotta stick with it, we are all here for you xxxx

  • If anyone has any more ideas/support,I am listening.

My favourite mantra if I don't lose as much as I wanted or expected to is: the weight didn't go in 5 minutes: it won't come off in 5 minutes. My other favourite is: even if you only lose 1/2lb a week, you'll still be 26lbs lighter this time next year.

I'm very big on positive motivation.

Also, feeling better in your clothes is just as good as seeing the lbs come off. I feel like I haven't really lost a lot of weight and don't look much different but my clothes are telling me a whole other story. I've had to give my 3 favourite pairs of trousers to charity because they wouldn't stay up!

So, and I know it's easy to say, try to focus on the positives would be my advice and hopefully they'll motivate you to carry on.

Saver-upper - am I the only one that thinks, if you only put on .5 lb, it could just that you needed a big trip to the toilet :D:D:D:D

I agree.. water makes a massive difference too. I can lose/gain 3lb in a day with water retention/dehydration..
