  • Sorry didn't post wi result last night but I was feeling a bit peed of with myself as I only managed a 0.5lb loss this week (STS last week) and I must be honest I was expecting more off as I had stuck to plan. DH got plenty of ranting from me (def earache at the end of it all) and I had been trying to work out how I had gone wrong as I didn't feel I had done anything different these last two weeks.

Well I have got up this morning (despite feeling yucky) and I am going back to basics as they say, writing things down and keeping an eye of sfs and liquids and see what happens.

Tried M&S Guilt Free Choc and Pecan Popcorn last night - I would guess to be around 6.5 syns a bag (27g) - very nice. Good job they are only in small bags but the price is a bit  - 5 little bags for £2.50 I think. They do lots of things sweet and savoury in this range - all around this price. I found some of the things on SW site but I couldn't find the one I bought.

Well done to all the losers (espec wiz) - you so deserve it and anyone who has reached targert. :T At the rate I am going now it might be 2020 before I reach target :rotfl:

  • Saver-upper - I counted your free and super free. Even counting every individual salad item I only counted 30. Over the course of seven days that is only 4 a day. I think you need to be adding so much more. For example, your evening meal should contain at least four (peppers, onions, mushrooms, courgettes, carrots etc) and be served with another three or four (broccoli, fine green beans, cabbage etc). The whole point of SW is that you fill your plate with free and super free foods. Your evening meals are really carb heavy with jacket potatoes and toast. Trying having a smaller jacket and serving it with a huge salad that covers half your plate. There is also absolutely no fish and no decent protein like chicken or beef.

Have a look at the Slimming World website for really good meal ideas - for example, I made the sweet potato, butternut squash and bacon stew, it was delicious.

Another thought - are you drinking enough water? That really helps with weight loss.
  • Morning you lovely lot, congrats to everyone who lost and hugs to everyone else, weigh in or not!! :j

After nearly bursting into tears on the scales when I STS, my consultant asked me if I had been weighing myself at home, to which I looked shocked and replied no, of course I hadn't!!!!!! Scales in the house seem to be totally bananas and had told me I had gained about 5lbs yesterday so they have been binned!!!! :rotfl:

I have decided to try and up my superspeed this week, it's one of the parts of the plan that I don't really seem to pay any attention to. I love the Tesco Value Mushy Peas so planning to have them with SW chips, other than the SS soup (which I personally find horrible), has anyone else got any good SS recipes? I'm veggie but can substitute with Quorn if necessary.

    Today is EE

b: toast (hexb) fruit and yog
l: noodle salad with leftover veg
d: quorn bolognaise with pasta and veg

Have a lovely day everyone xxxx

Wise words!!! Now if only I could do the above myself I might actually get to target instead of maintaining!!

So far today a good start, have just had my branflakes (not cooked breakfast like the last 3 mornings!).

Will eat lots of veg today as well, going to put a veg sauce together for dinner (after WI) to have with a bit of pasta.

No idea what the scales will show tonight but trying not to worry too much about it. Any gain will have been richly deserved so I'll know not to do that again :D

Some good things though - my photos from holiday look so much better than usual! I also wore a couple of new things and they looked nice and I seem to have a shape that's not just 'ball' :rotfl:

Sort of a downside is I can no longer wear my wedding ring. I've been taking it off a bit because it is so loose. I actually thought about not taking it to the beach with me but figured it would be fine. Cue me gesturing while talking and it flicking off my finger and straight into the sand and four of us combing through the sand with our fingers desperately trying to find it while I panicked we would never see it again

Hubby said he hoped it wasn't totally lost cos we'd have to spend £20 on a new one :rotfl:. He found it somehow though :). Now consigned to my drawer until I can get it adjusted but it seems a bit daft to do that now because I've still got plenty of weight to lose.

Well I managed to stick to plan yesterday and had ony 12 syns so happy with that after having probably 30-40 most days while on holiday (although I wasn't actually counting!) and I certainly didn't have many HEBs (unfortunately french baguette doesn't count, LOL!) although I did use quite a bit of olive oil on salads!.

Have started doing my month's menu plan but only managed about half of it so far - need to have a dig around in the freezers to see what else is in them and then it'll make it easier to plan.

Need to go and do a bit of shopping today as cupboards are nearly bare as didn't stock up before I went on holiday.

    Today's plan is EE:

B - porridge (HEB) made with water, splash of milk, 1 tsp sugar (1 syn)
L - Spicy butternut squash soup, slice of bread (3 syns)
D - Savoury mince with mash & veg (there is already quite a lot of veg in the mince so hopefully enough SFs over the day)

HEA will be 250ml of SS milk.
Syns - 4 planned so far.

    Denise

breakfast is a couple of plums and a kiwi
snacks - natural yogurt and ??
Lunch - Butternut squash and red lentil curry and HEB Bread
Dinner - Jacket potatoe and Chilli con carne

Syns will probably be chocolate tonight.
  • Hello all! I'm now back from my holiday and raring to go!

Weigh in on Friday so I'm being super focussed all week in the hope that I won't have put too much on. :o

B- Poached eggs on toast (heb), tomato
L - Seafood stick salad, WW yogurt
D - Mexican chilli chicken recipe from the Extra Easy recipe book.

    Snacks - Fruit

Now I have a lot of reading of the thread to do!
