    Halifax product fees don't affect the LTV but the increased loan has to fit affordability.

    Yes that's right but my mortgage advisor wasn't aware of this :s

    Yep. That's what we suggest.

    Add to loan, but repay within penalty-free allowance after completion.

    Apparently my partners employers reference has been verified but I'm still waiting on someone calling to tell me if it is an offer or not?

    Currently on hold to Halifax for an update - numerous emails with no reply :(

    Received the hard copy of my mortgage offer in the post this morning! I was at work when it came but my husband rang me telling me it was here! I couldn't wait to go home and read it!

    So my final timetable update guys then I will be joining the waiting to exchange board!

    Here is my updated timeline!

    16/08/14: Received DIP with halifax
    18/08/14: Offer accepted on property
    26/08/14: Full application submitted
    28/08/14: Valuation funds taken from account
    02/09/14: Valuation booked (Valued at the sale price!)
    03/09/14: OFFER ISSUED!!
    05/09/14: Received offer in the post! :D

    Just joined to get me through this mortgage process! Stress!!

    Asking for £180k, deposit £50k, LTV 72%.

    29/08 - Received DIP with Halifax. (2 searches showing on credit file for Generic ID check & Mortgage Quotation)
    02/09 - Full application submitted.
    02/09 - Valuation fee taken from account.
    03/09 - Survey booked for 10/09 (3 searches showing on credit file for Mortgage Quotation)

    Hello! When I was at this stage I heard back a day after valuation that the mortgage was offered! Good luck and keep us posted xx
