Thanks hun!
Hmm just rang my solicitors telling them they can now start the work as I had them on hold till I got the mortgage offer to avoid unnecessary charges etc! No idea about when completion will be as we have no chain (living with parents) but I am wanting to compete sometime in October. Does this timeline sound realistic??
How come your getting no where with the solicitors? X:beer:0 -
Joining you all...
Well here is our experience so far...
13/08 - Declined AIP with HSBC
18/08 - Engaged broker due to credit history
22/08 - AIP accepted by Halifax
27/08 - Full application submitted, Halifax asked for latest months pay slip and confirmation on Child Benefit.
01/09 - Valuation instructed on the new property.
What will be next?!?!?!? Ha ha ha0 -
They havent received any contracts from the vendors. Even though they sent them to their solicitors when we instructed them on the 21/08/14. But they seem in no rush to chase them.
We are in no chain and the house we are buying isn't either so in my eyes should be straight forward. Solicitor said to me how long is a piece of string!!0 -
Just received a phone call from my mortgage broker that out mortgage has been offered!!!!! The valuation was only done yesterday! Sooo happy right now! He also said we should receive the hard copy in the post shortly and a copy will also be sent to our solicitors!

16/08/14: 2 searches showing up on Experian (RBS - MORTGAGE QUOTATION & HALIFAX - ID GENERIC CHECK)
18/08/14: Offer accepted on property
26/08/14: Full application submitted

Are people adding the product fee (if applicable) to their mortgage? I'm inclined to pay it separately.
Thoughts?0 -

Thoughts?
We have added it on to the mortgage. We were first told by our broker that if we add it on it will affect the LTV amount so we will not qualify for the specific interest rate that we wanted so we said we will pay it upfront. when our mortgage broker called me yesterday saying that we have been offered the mortgage he said it has been added on and it has not affected the interest rate.
It didn't bother me either way though!:beer:0
