    Hi again

Well went over on Granny duty and felt really sore as I drove DH's car in case I needed back seat space for bike for DGS2! (No power steering.) Health Visitor called while I was there and was I really impressed with what she asked DD, gave her for information, and the checks she did on DGS3! He has put on over a 1lb in a week, has grown 2+ cms (but probably a bit iffy as babies are always in fetal position when born and not easy to measure and for a few weeks after). Anyway, I definately thought he felt heavier today! I remember when DD about 2 months old and I phoned Health Visitor to say I am really, really worried - I am going to bounce her off the wall - only 2 hours sleep out of 24 hours as she cried all the time. All she suggested was - have you tried changing her formula (I was unable to breastfeed!). I relented and gave her a dummy - peace! Dummies were very out of vogue at that time I might add. Now they are advocated for Cot Death and all 3 have had them for about the first 6 months then the dreaded sleep training! The older two do sleep really well. DGS2 told me today he needed to go and see Ted for a night-night! I felt bad when I had to gently wake him up after about an hour but if he goes any longer he still goes to bed at right time but brings back getting up time horrendously (thought of you today Kyle!!!!).

Other two boys' behaviour did seem marginally better today so maybe a moderated bootcamp at the weekend!

Have done my first front border, all planted and blood, boned and fished and watered in and really pleased with it. I definitely feel better as I am a bit more mobile today. Sitting around earlier today I think stiffened me up but it was lovely having just 121 time with DGS2. I have told them only 2 sleeps until they come to GBs for 3 sleeps (am I mad or what?).

Heaven - well, what can I say, congratulations! SIL due snips next month but DD today, well she is wondering!!!!!!!!!!! I am saying nothing!

Sorry not mentioningg anyone else - as you can imagine, yes I have probably overdone things today again but I am really pleased with my garden.

Csarinaknight - welcome under your new name!!!!!!

Have ordered a home delivery pizza tonight, should be here any time now. I think I deserve it!

    Love to you all.

Leigh, many congratulations. I hope all goes well over the next nine months ((((Hugs))))

I was treated to see the new Harry Potter film. It was quite enjoyable, more so than the book, though I must admit I missed a few bits not being in the film.

I did a little shopping and discovered Poundland have increased their range of cardmaking/scrapbooking/crafting materials further still. I bought a sheet of "happy birthday" stickers, loads of sequins, and a few other bits which escape my tired brain right now. When I got home I also found the post had come and I had a few things I'd bought from ebay, including some cut outs for cards, backing papers and my best find--a rain jacket for 1p which is now in the washing machine.

    Hello all.

When my daughter was 12, she had a 'boyfriend' (awwww) - anyway it only lasted a few weeks but they've been good friends ever since. She had a phone call from one of her friends yesterday, saying he'd had an accident on his moped. Well we've just found out that he died earlier today  Miss tru has met up with a group of friends, they're not sure what they're meeting up for exactly, I think they just all wanted to be together.

I didn't even know him, only met him once but I'm sat here like this  The poor thing has just finished his GCSEs, his life was just starting really and now it's gone.

Sorry to bring you down but I'm on my own tonight and had no-one to talk to.

    Congratulations Heavenleigh,

Don't tell your family yet...I remember those pitying looks (from my mother) and remarks (from my father) and yes it was all right when the baby arrived each time...I had four children in three years and eight months, a four year gap and then another three in two years and ten months so was subject to lots of criticism from lots of people who considered it their business! When I say don't tell the family yet I mean give yourself time to get used to the news yourself and try to ignore what people say.

Take care of yourself and your family and take things as easy as you can, stress is the last thing you need

    Tru,

So sorry for your DD...meeting up seems to be what they do at that age, they can handle it better together. Something similar happened to my DD in her first year away from home at college and they all gathered in the same way. All you can do is be there for her with a hug or shoulder whenever she needs one.

Stefjb...back to the real world now...nice isn't it?

Went to Newcastle to pick up more of DD's student stuff.

As we left her flat loaded up to the gills with cardboard boxes we thought that we would drive to a nearby restaurant for lunch before setting off for home.

DH when parking drove over kerb! Then again! And again!

Car started to make awful noises - we had a flat tyre!

We all started to do our best to change the tyre and after a while a man came up to us trundling a proper "jack and helped us change it properly!

He would not take any money and restored our faith in human nature!

Seems there was a screw in the tyre that has caused the problem and
I am so grateful that it did not happen on the motorway or in the Tyne Tunnel as we would have been in real danger.

DD has now packed up most of the stuff that can go into storage and we still need one more trip to finish moving three years worth of stuff!

While trying to change the tyre DH managed to drop the tyre on my foot!

He is amazed that it is black and blue! "I must have a real problem with my feet as the tyre is only rubber!"

Decided to have an early night and "put my foot up".

Hugs to penny pincher especially and to everyone else especially Queenie.

    Congrats heavenleigh!

I'm going back to lurking on here now as there is too much hatred for teachers on here. We're not all bad, and to have entire threads attacking people is just not what I'm here for. I work so hard and have overcome a lot to be in the job I've always wanted to do, and to have people s**g off my profession really isn't something too nice at all.
