Hello again!
have been and checked on the old boy after our escapades yesterday and thankfully he's fine, lots of shops and houses flooded out in town again.
I've been busy baking, got a fruit loaf and lemon drizzle cake in the oven and now I'm off to mow the lawns if they're not too wet.Am doing the papaer round for DS again today as he's stopping behind to finish some course work.
Odds-n-sods you're very welcome to the hug!:grouphug:

Hi everyone!
Just a quick one from me today as am due back from lunch shortly.
Spent last night making a cake for the small person's teacher last night to go in the staff room. If you hear of a breakout of food poisoning in a school in West Sussex that'll be my cake:D
OS wise- floors washed today. Won't get much else done as am watching the small person's Musical Extravaganza tonight...he's playing the drum although OH said he was far more interested in his loose tooth last night. However, that's come out this morning so hopefully he won't be quite so distracted [he's always very stressed and Aspergic at these type of events but at least he turns up]. He's also likely to sing the first line of each song and then mime frantically...all my nagging attempts to get him to learn his songwords have fallen on deaf ears!!

I've finished the ironing! All of it - even the stuff that's still damp it ironed and on hangers.......how good am I!!!!
I've also managed to list 11 items on ebay, 6 are already being watched.
Whilst having a tootle about on ebay I found a painting that looked familiar - just done a bit of research and the oil painting I bought for £2 in a charity shop is by someone quite famous it seems - his other stuff seems to be going for £150 +
I've found a local dealer who I can send a piccy via email to for a better idea of value.
Need to shove the BM going for some dough, having Stomboli (reciepe on the index somewhere) with potato wedges for dinner tonight - then we're off to the school to watch DD in her end of year performance. It's a WWII inspired play so I'm looking forward to it. They've had a lot of help from a couple who live in the village who've given them lots of advice and been in for chats, they even took the kids to a local memorial site......kids thought it was fantastic - not because of what they learnt but because they're Joss Stone (the singers) grandparents.

Interesting day today, but I am delighted to report that I now have a working door handle which is almost bolted on to the door. Shall make a point of thanking the woodwork techie who made it all happen - got to stay in with the people with real power in the school!
Staff are all exhausted and attendance is down ... so there is a parents' evening that will last till 6.30! I am usually in for 8am so my working day would be 10.5 hours - the extra hours are totally unpaid.
Lovely weather here this afternoon, wish I had the washing out!I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Have been without a voice now for four days! At least my throat doesn't feel so raw any more. God bless penicillin!! :j
Actually came back to work today which has amused a lot of people, particularly the men who all want to know what I ate, so that they can give it to their wives........... Comedy lot eh?
Anyway, made scones in my Ebay-purchased Kenwood chef yesterday and I am knocked out at how quick they were and how nice a texture they are! On seeing my new purchase, MIL announced that she had a Chef with all the attachments and I could have had that!! I am thrilled really that she thinks me good enough to hand over her beloved Chef. It is old and was bought for her by her DH when they were first married, so lots of sentimental value to her, bless her.
Good thoughts to all that need them,

Urghhh flipping Drs! I had blood tests the other week-when I called for the results they said they were fine. When I went for my check up today I found out that I have Hypothyroidism...great!! I guess where that extra weight has come from! I also need to increase the calcium in my diet even though I already take suppliments...arghhhh.

Evening Guys!
Well we have everything covered...i think:D Have frozen her sarnies for freshness and her yogurts to keep everything cool. Will pop an apple and some crisps in and if shes still hungry, she can buy some food in France in the morning. Also have 2 bottles of water that she can re-fil if needed. We are leaving straight from dropping her off to Ipswich tongiht where we have booked a £15 Travelodge room. Then off to Norfolk in the morning.
Took DD to The Harvester for dinner on their early bird offer. £20 all in and DD/OH had pudding too:rolleyes:
I feel quite calm now, but that could be the tablets I have taken:o :rotfl:
Anyway, will say goodbye till next week.
Hugs to all.
