Oops - I have just been thinking about Queenie too! She sounded so down the other day.
Well must get my tail into gear. DD been on the phone already and they are going through nappies at the rate of knots so calling in at Boots on way over. That wee tyke celebrated being two weeks old by giving them the most awful night last night!!!!!!!!!!
Hope to catch up with you all again later today.

Morning all!
Hope you are all well, hugs to those who aren't!
I'm off to the Drs in a bit, I'm on a new medication and have to every week or two for check ups, as it's an epilepsy medication (I have Fibromyalgia). I'm hoping to give him a copy of our press release as my support group are setting up a Children's charity for young sufferers, had a newspaper interview the other day, so watch out for me in the Surrey Advertiser if any of you live in that area!
After the Drs I'll be off to the PO to send off some Ebay bits, have 7 packages to mail off today! I'll be doing more listing when I get back, then it's a bit more decorating, and then I'm off to tutor. Hope to get the bathroom practically done today and move onto the hallway tomorrow-we have so much to do that it's unreal, but am determined to get as much as we can done... it's so hard being limited physically, so many people ask 'have you done the decorating yet?' and I feel like snapping back at them asking if they'd like to do it for us as they seem to be miracle workers with the paintbrushes-it's hard for me as I have to take a break every 10 minutes, and some days I just can't do anything at all, it's so frustrating!
OH was so sweet on Sunday. I got back from work and he told me to go into the kitchen-he'd made his own version of Jam crumblies and hobnobs! He couldn't find the recipes so he made them out of flapjack! Hehe. I found it so adorable, he really is trying! He's telling all and sundry about how we cook most from scratch and bends people's ears about BMs, aww!
Right, I'd better pop my Ebay packets into my bag and get down to the Drs!
Have a good day everyone!x

morning!
had an eventful day yesterday:rolleyes: our town was hit by a torrential downpour with thunder, lightning and hail and flooded again! part of a wall fell into the brook and the public toilets are hanging over the edge too! I was trapped in one part of the town with the 96 year old that I take shopping and we couldn't get home, eventually we had to walk him up an alleyway and I got my sister to meet us at the other end with her car, we drove through flood water but still couldn't get him home so he had to come to mine until it went down a bit - couple of hours, I did get him home eventually with the help of my sister and Mum:T I had to abandon my car in town but did manage to get it back late evening. What with other stressful things going on this week I was in such a state that I had to eat 2 chocolate biscuits! and its weigh in tonight!
Off to have my hair cut soon and have also waxed my lip and chin and done my eyebrows
dlb - well done!:T
PenPin - hope you enjoy your holiday and your DD too!
Queenie - hope you're ok xxx
(((hugs))) to anyone else in need xxx
Off for a browse now before I go out
catch you later xxDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Morning all
Hugs to those in need today.
DH had a blow out on the motorway this morning - couldn't get the wheel off so has been waiting for nearly 2 hours for a breakdown service! He's just got to the tyre place (didn't want to do long distance motorway driving on the spare 50mph tyre) new tyre is £140  ouch.
I think it's going to be one of those days, the gas and leccy bill came in and although I've upped the DD it's still not clearing the backlog I have so I've just upped it another £15 a month - the phone bill came too but that's just the line rental so not too bad.
Got some items to photograph and list on ebay later, then I'll be in the loft having a sort out for a bootsale at the weekend, got so much stuff to get rid of so going to do it in a couple of stages (pray for nice weather please - but not too hot)
A friend of mine is doing a stall at a farmers market this afternoon, she's got some of my cards to sell and some lavendar wheat bags I had made up - hoping she does well as every penny counts this month. I set myself a target to clear one of my CC's and I've got £1400 of the £1560 needed. (although now £140 down  So I need to find £300 by the 28th if I'm going to get it cleared and closed)
Popped to get some dye for my curtains yesterday but as they're big and heavy I'd need to spend around £18 on dye - and not sure they'd go as I'd like as the fabric is a poly mix. Will need to look round for some different ones but can wait until next month - we're not overlooked and we've got a blind for now."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. I'll take a hug taplady. Just had a call from work wanting to know where my sick note is. Told them my OH is bringing it in today. And that I'd be getting another as I go back to the clinic after this one ends so not back unitl sometime in Aug.0

Hello everybody,
Well been busy the last couple of days with DGS. House looks like a mini tornado has been through it which they have.
They will be here for a few more days yet. We got our soil delivered today so plans for tomorrow are Poppa & DGS gardening & Granny supervising.
Made my first loaf of bread today following Thriftlady's instructions and I think it can also do as a door stop it's so hard. Obviously done something wrong but DGS loved the kneading experience.
Well I best be off as DD has just gotten home with more freebies.
Off to have a look see. Hope you all have a nice day and ((((hugs)))) to those feeling awful. Byeeeeeeeeeeee Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.

Nearly there with getting everything together:rolleyes: ...have packed as little as possible for OH & I. The bungalow has a WM so we can wear and wash as its not our electric and I intend to cook loads on their electric/gas:D ..it DOES NOT have a DW...how do you wash up again:rotfl:
I have put DD's money into seperate clearly named envelopes. Will give to her teacher and they will hand out daily. My mum also put £50 into a card for me to "treat" ourselves when we are away. We are going to have a lovely Roast dinner out on Sunday as Im not cooking one just for the two of us;) ...thanks mum!!
Have done a washload this morning for clothes I want to travel in. Jogging bottoms, t-shirt etc etc and the bedding. Stripped all the beds (well OH did) and have cleared through. The cleaner is coming in twice whilst we are away to do some extra jobs and the normal clean Tuesday before we get back.
I have a feeling that I will be going into hospital when I get back as my health has been quite poor these past few days and I know its the best place for me when Im rough. I really just want to get away with OH before this happens though. I have made sure all bills etc have been paid for this month although there not due till the end of the month, but am just covering myself incase anything does happen. I will probably be in Kings College..so if anyone wants to visit:D....I like grapes and chocolates:p
Anyway, will probably write again later.
Hugs

HI all
been a long time since Ive posted here, but i do love catching up on everyones news.
Im sad to see so many people unwell
I too am not feeling too clever today, so had to take another day off work
Quitre bad pelvic pain again , I woke up screaming at about 6.00  Theres zero point in going back to the hospital, they'll just tell me as usual to wait till my next outpatients appointment. Cant take painkillers as it tends to set off my PID again. I look utterly pregnant today ( but not
) so its going to be an easy one for me today.
Dinner is bacon chops & veg so i dont need to do anything till later.
Todays tasks will be calling the bank, and maybe Ill do a bit of matched betting if I can concentrate long enough. I do need to repot some veg but dont think I can do that today. Shame as I expect everything will die, already lost a lot ( even my hardy mint!) I might just fire off this years growing as its been a disaster since those rains last week.
Very dark here in the forest borders. Hopefully OH will take dog out as im not feeling that mobile. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0
