Churchmouse - sorry, I didn't come back on to the Daily yesterday and I only just saw your question. Yes, it was the 40/60 part choral concert. Did you catch any of it on the radio? It was amazing.

Thanks for the answer Rzl!:D No I didn't get to hear the performance, but I'd heard an interview with ?? (just realised I don't know who the chap was:rotfl: ) on the radio. He told how he'd been searching for 18 years for this piece and said how incredible it felt when he finally held it in his hands. I heard several minutes of rehearsal and they sounded wonderful. I have to say I had thought that many parts would have to sound all clashy and disharmonious:o Now I'm sorry I forgot to listen to it. Glad you enjoyed it:D

I've had a stupendously ordinary day, so won't bore you all with the details;)

heavenleigh, congratulations on the baby:j :T :D:D It's wonderful news! I'm always excited at the prospect of a new baby. Try not to let your family's response spoil this time for you. I've had four, all boys, so that excused me to some people. However those same people couldn't refrain from saying what a shame it was my new baby was another boy:mad: I was perfectly happy having boys, and would have to retaliate that no baby of mine was "a shame"
Just enjoy another bundle of joy heading your way:D

    CMxx

Heavenleigh - many congratulations! Every child brings its own quota of love with it, and it is really yours & your DH's business how big your family is, no-one elses. One of my friends has 7 (2 sets of twins & 3 singles) and another has 10 (at least she did last year when I last saw her!) and they both have to put up with comments about the number of children, as if other people had any right to make comment on it. I hope the pregnancy goes well for you. .... just had a thought - why don't you tell your family you are really after a football teams-worth? That way they will be thrilled if you only end up with 4!????!!! (ok, am taking tongue out of cheek now)

actually I would have loved 4 - just didn't happen! (but am very happy with the 3 we do have!!)

heavenleigh - CONGRATULATIONS. I know you can't ignore your family but it's YOUR life, and as for your hubby, well, he IS jointly responsible for the situation so I bl**dy well hope he's supportive

Goodness, four kids though - the VERY best of luck :D I'm the same age as you and NONE is quite enough kids for me :o At least your own negative experiences with your parents should mean you manage to produce four healthy, happy kids with full support and encouragement in everything they do :T :)

    ((((hugs))))

  • I had 4 children but with 10 years between the oldest and youngest, that was hard work.Had I been given the choice I would have had the 4 closer together.

I am sure things will be ok once OH gets over the shock.

    Take care..................
September grocery budget........trying for £80, not sure if I will make it though!!!!! I certainly did not last month, lost track of the final bill. Will do better this month honest.

    Tesco £57.13
    Petrol £10.00

    Evening all

Exbil left to go back to canada on monday and I've been catching up ever since. It was a fabulous 10 days and I reckon I slept about 25 hours in all that time  I had worried so much aobut him coming because I didn't know him too well and of course I had heard dsis's side of any stories but he was really really nice and very very generous with meals out and trips. He made a cake for middle dd's birthday on saturday - the cake itself probably cost a fiver but the specialist equipment he bought much more - exotic things like a decent mixing bowl and a proper measuring jug :)

Well back to OS with a bump! I have managed to get tickets for Reading festival for which I need to pay my dbro back and save some spending money and the dd's have been invited to canada at the end of next month and need passports.

    have a great evening all
