I have had a busy morning so far - furniture put out for council bulky uplift (they said they could pick it up earlier than expected so it was a mad rush this morning getting it all sorted). My new couch is arriving on Tuesday and it is very much needed.
Had a good read over the thread. I love the idea of getting sorted for winter so I will look at getting started on that. I think I will make a new draught excluder to start with. I would also like to make new curtain/blind fop my back door. I just looked out my sewing maching on Tuesday and had a lovely evening making new kitchen cloths (I make them out of old sheeting) and some lavender bags.0 -
Sorry IM just catching up. How have I turned so rubbish?
Well done SOA on your debt freedom! Hurrah!
My DH told me the other day that he had cleared both his balance transfer cards, but he still has £400 on another card thanks to unexpected car repairs, still it's looking good now. I have some money to pay on a 0% spend card but I've worked out that won't take long.
7 SFD here now which is 3 off my target of 10.
I'm trying to use up my back stock in the freezer before the new stuff I have bought which will mean nothing more than a top up with the usual milk and bread. A new Morries has opened right opposite us so has been a godsend for the odd loaf of bread and even better my current account gives cash back on purchases there! Hurrah!
Will be making some more soup today, I bought lots of sweet potatoes so I think I nice sweet potato and lentil soup, yum yum.Squirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0 -
nannygladys - congratulations on the baby news, how lovely.
abundant - don't let an arm injury defeat you, you are tougher than that.
Sorry I haven't posted for a day or two I have been reading along but have had nothing interesting to say and still haven't really.
Today I will do another Lidl grocery shop, overall I have been really happy with everything I got last week, particular hits were the mature cheddar cheese, curry sauce and peanut butter. The fruit was great too, much nicer than last time I bought it from there a number of years ago.
I need to get some lights for my bike now the weather is getting greyer but I will have to hang on until payday, I want some dynamo ones if anyone has a recommendation.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Good morning.
Erm... I seem to have missed some posts I think cause I don't remember reading about nannygladys' good news so sorry and congratulations.
Today should be a spend-free day as I have no intention of going anywhere apart from my parent's house to watch masterchef australia.
Due to work being all a bit of a blur, I am not sure when I last counted my SFDs so will have to read back and see. I think I am now on 9 but not sure.

Fmess - YES! I love that saying too! Thought it also fitted in perfectly with our MSE self descriptions! Had an even worse 'Awkward Turtle' moment today, when I got myself locked in the toilet at work- haha! Had to knock on the door and call for help....awwwwkard!
MrsGSR- Lovely to hear from you! It happens, days just fly by sometimes, or blur into one. Love sweet potato!
nannygladys - Superb news! Congratulations, what a lovely collection of dgds and a dgs!
I'm up to 10 Sfds - Pleased with progress, I think a severe lack of money has helped contribute to the acquisition of these! Keeping on the go at work which is very active at times, so keeping on top of the exercise!
Anyways.... it's nearly TGIF! See you'll tomorrow x:coffee:

Dolly84, I've just seen your signature and wow that's some weight loss, makes mine seem very little but it took a lot of doing!!!
Another sfd, ate out of the freezer and garden, so that was nice and cheap but I'm yearning something sweet so will have to do with an optional drink in a bit.
Back at work today after my hollibob and nothing much changes, some people leaving and some starting just the norm. Anyway off to bed in a bit another early start tomorrow at work but at least I finish at midday so I will be home by half past.
Hope everyone is OK

Today I am grateful for evoo to rub on dd's back where the scabs are dry and itchy, for fantastic cycling weather, for a great chat with a new colleague, for dd being pleased to see me when I got home, for some ribbons from the One And Only Tilly (yes, the inventor of the Tilly Tidy herself!).
Another NSD to add to my total, and an exercise session as I cycled to work. Also did over 10k steps and had 8 veg. Am very ready for an early night!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

MrsGSR Gillian McKeith does a lovely F(He)arty lentil stew :pwith sweet potato, butternut squash etc.. I batched a load yesterday
Spend day today again! Not sure if it's poor planning or just comfort eating at the momentManaged to get mostly stickered items and non stickered bits ready for the night shifts this weekend.
While in Te$c I spotted a tablet on sale which I would really likeI am considering getting it on my 0% CC while its so cheap then putting it away until my Big Birthday and putting my birthday money towards it..
I am seriously thinking of chopping the card up because the temptation to spend is too much!
Hope youre having a lovely evening, Im going to watch Who Do You Think You Are with a little vino
