Well done SOA, you must be feeling great.

    Happy birthday nannygladys.

Yesterday was a SFD, I posted some ebay parcels but buyers paid the postage so that doesn't count.

  • Hi everyone,

Sorry for disappearing for a couple of days - had a migraine on Sunday, then a super busy day in work yesterday combined with still feeling a bit rough.

But! On to the most important thing - speakingofart, huge congratulations on being debtfree! Well done you!:j:j:j

NannyG - Happy birthday! Sounds like you had a lovely day.

Mothernerd - keeping well challenge sounds good, will do my best! Sorry to hear you're not feeling so well.

Happy anniversary applemuncher and well done on selling the car seat.

For me, yesterday was a spend day as had to contribute to a collegue's wedding present collection, and today will be too on social spends, going to cinema and a drink with friends which will be really nice. Half way through the month, need to do better at SFDs.

    Have a good day all.

Well done SOA go treat yourself lucky devil. Nice to see light at the end of the tunnel.

Had a day off yesterday so bought couple of pictures for the house and a new rug for my hall. Looks gorgeous very pleased with it and looks much warmer for winter, starting the cozy home challenge, great idea stocking up tablets cold remedies, nothing worse when feel rough going out shopping.

Reworking my budgets today with my montly payments increasing from 39 pounds to 90 for my gas/ electric for the next yr and now my broadband payments increasing as well. Not left with any disposable income. Gulp
so may concentrate on paying utility arrears back first before credit cards free to swop around then from October.

NannyG belated birthday greetings hope you had a lovely day.

Up to 8 sfd counting today, as collecting grandson after work so avoiding shops with him. Paddling pool time if it stays warm maybe ;-)

Think I may now just get 2 bedrooms carpeted and wait before doing stairs/ landing not wanting to increase my debts any more.

Anyway tummy is great now, starting to feel not so tired and the 10lbs has stayed off so far woo hoo. Could get into the little black number for xmas hehe. x

  • Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy SOA - super huge congratulations on getting Debt Free!!!! I woke up this morning and you were one of the first thoughts in my head! Imagined you jumping onto your internet banking at the crack of dawn!!!:beer::beer::beer::j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T

Mothernerd yet again your mini challenge fits in beautifully. Himself caught a cold and I have been ramping up the vitamins for me and Jellytot, and collecting all of my failsafe meds for the winter. We have not succumbed to his illness :D :j I do need to sort my annual flu jab out though. Thanks for the reminder! You even beat the doctors! ;)

Lovely lovely applemuncher has gifted me some goodies which will push me along with my Christmas making, so I am a happy bunny this month!

To all not feeling too hot, lots of hugs. Stewby I wonder if you say 'speakingofart' the same way I do :o:o:o

Mum is doing ok. Struggling with pain and tiredness. She has a lot of appointments coming up and starts further courses of treatment soon. :) She's alright.

  • Thank you very much everyone, it's a really good feeling - NSK, lovely to see you on the thread, and thanks very much! Worth all the hard work, but now I need to focus on squirrelling away some savings and making sure it doesn't ever happen again!

Hope everyone's feeling better -we've had a really nasty thing going round at work, so I think mother nerd's preparation is about to be very useful!

SFD and exercise day today. Tomorrow won't be as have to go to Worcester with work so will need to buy petrol, but at least it's reclaimable!

Today was a SFD and did exercise by walking the dogs. Got a few spends to do soon so hoping to save them up for thurs or fri.

Really looking forward to the next month as my pay will have gone up and hopefully I'll be tutoring again so the debts can start to come down quicker :). I might even buy a mattress!

Work is getting a bit more stressful. Had a row with a colleague so currently sitting with chocolate.
On the plus side, I have claimed my two hours for pay (which I was gonig to give them for free)
On the negative side, I have had chest pain since the row (so about two and a half hours now). It's not cardiac, I think I have maybe pulled something and didn't notice. I am noticing it now though.

I read SOA's name as .... o ...... if that makes sense. Sorry, I get all merged up words muddled.
    :o

So... work xmas party has turned up... £45!!!! I don't know if I can afford that so will have to have a think. Now that we have had this row, I probably won't want to go anyways.
    :undecided

Anyways... on to more positive things!!
After much fighting, my credit card is now closed. The phone wifey refused to do it and told me I had to go into branch. Went into branch with my dad and they said they didn't deal with it.

So... now have a tescimo cc which is 0% for 10 months. I am hoping to try and pay £481 this month so that I get below £3000 but my dad isn't so sure as I have a car month coming up in November. Going to keep my fingers crossed.
    :)

    Oh... CONGRATULATIONS SPEAKINGOFART!!!!
    :j

HAPPY BDAY AND HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!! Sorry, I forgot who was what. I am a bit dopey at the moment.
