    Filtered £50 into the ISA.
Had healthy food day, but caved in and had a penguin biscuit. We ran out fruit we had eaten so much, had to get some more on the way home from work.
Had some quality time with my son, he really is a lovely reader and brings his reading books to life with his expressive style :) he reminds me so much of my Dad, which makes me sad, because he is not here to see him grow up.
Learned Makaton for chocolate, cake and biscuits :)
Exercise was stretches and yoga asanas today as I felt stiff and tired, feel better now.
Reading about the nature of consciousness, very deep for a Wednesday evening, but better than the football.
Hope everyone is well and enjoying the challenges.

    Hi all

Sorry for lack of posts but have gone a bit loopy in the past few days. Gone back to work and just can't cope, I'm constantly teary and grumpy, im not sure what is wrong with me.

Had 2 SFDs and spend day. Most of this months money has gone but got all the pressies etc that we need and cupboards are stocked up.

I'll try and read up on posts this weekend but even struggling to get the motivation to do that.

Morning all :) Sorry I didn't post. I was flat out yesterday after going back to the school/work routine. Only spends were breakfast and afterschool club for the little. I did about an hours walk yesterday, so pleased with that. I hope to report back later, but I need to do my lunch for work now and get the little fella up now :) Take care everyone :) Hugs to everyone that needs them as I haven't gone through the thread yet :)

  • Morning all!

Had a spend day yesterday, I purchased a couple of pairs of trousers for new job from CS's. Saved a heck of a lot of money that way. I've spent ages trying on new trousers in a whole host of shops the last week, and not found anything near enough comfortable. Went into 2 CS's yesterday and found exactly what I was looking for, barely worn trous for an 8th of the price! :)

I sent the Foodbank donation Christmas gift email round to my closest friend's yesterday- those who I usually buy for each year. It was about making food donations per person/ couple instead of purchasing gifts this Christmas, but still getting a little something for their children. So far I have had positive feedback, 2 of my friend's would like to do the same back and another will be hand making small token gifts instead. I didn't request anything in return from them, just to see them at some point over the Christmas period would be present enough. I know Christmas puts financial strain on a lot of people, and with friend's becoming married and having children the list was just getting longer. Helping those most in need and spending time with friend's and family over Christmas is what it is about (from my point of view).

moohound - I love makaton! Great to hear you're learning the important one's- chocolate and cake definitely being favourites!! Will you be using your new skills with children/ work? I have been trained up to level 8 and still use it occasionally. Me and my other half were out for a meal and he went outside for a smoke, so we sign to each other through the window, which was fun, as I can not lip read to save my life!

Keeping to my mindful daily routine, eating more fruit and veg, just need to work on increasing my exercise!

Sending feel good vibes to all! Keep Squirreling, Turtles! xx

Hello! I've been trying to post for the last two days but haven't had the chance due to work and children! I'm going for 10 NSDs this month, and have racked up two already. I've done 3 exercise sessions this week and I am back on the school run now. I'll try and check in as much as I can but please excuse the brevity of my posts!

Well I went to the co-op yesterday before I picked up the kids from school to get the wraps for tea but they were £2.19 for 8, I was aghast, I only had £1.79 with me so I bought pitta bread instead and we had to make do. I also bought stamps for work and found they have gone up 3p to 53p for 2nd class, when the blazes did that happen, it's not long since they went to 50p. I entertained the other customers with my disgust.

Calling - I will look into making my own wraps - thank you.

I will be doing a grocery shop today so money will be exchanging hands.

Fmess - hope your mood settles.

Well going to have a spendy day today will check in tomorrow. Really fed up so going to treat myself to an ice cream after work and sit on prom - sod it and have some me time. Tummy worse and now have high glucose level in my blood. Another blood test tomorrow.

Need some food so will hit Lidl after not going mad as it is just waste of money at moment.

Good news today car insurance sorted and saved myself 35 pounds woo hoo and didn't have to put it on my credit card like I normally do.

Tilly tidy thing is driving my mad, paid lots of odd bits off here and there. It is so addictive.

Have a good day - suns out folks.

Happy Thursday Squirrels! Nearly Friday - speakingofart - I can't wait for the weekend either, hope you're having a less stressful day today.

Sorry for no check in yesterday - crazy busy work day and didn't get home til 8.30, then pretty much just went to bed. It was a spendy day - had to get some essential women things, so got in some other spends at the same time - door mat for the back door, the cards I need for the month - as I'm determined to plan better this month and make the SFD target!

XSpender - hope the antibiotics sort you out and your feeling better - prescription changes are a constant pain, sounds like you've definitely saved by prepaying.

Tiptoes - hugs, hope you're feeling OK

Loveadove - you probably know this, but beware of drinking tea with/near meals (it stops you absorbing iron so well, so leave about 2 hours) and vitamin c helps you absorb more, so veggies or a glass of fruit juice with iron rich foods is good.

Caraeugirl - hope school is going ok for your DS

CEW hope physio is going well.

homemademama - 17000 steps is amazing! :jI'm trying to do at least 6000 a day and struggle with that!:o

Phoenix - it sounds exciting to get your own place even if there are some initial spends, hope it all goes well.

moohound - love the makaton words! I did a course for work last year, I don't use it all the time though so quite rusty - but because of my job most of what I know is food related! Loveadove - it's nice your OH can sign too, I find lack of people to practice on means I'm no so good.

Fmess - hugs, hope you're ok - take care of yourself and just take things easy.

calling14 - so sorry to hear you're still feeling bad, a bit of timeout with an icecream sounds a good idea, look after yourself

YNAB people - the buffer sounds really good would be lovely to feel if anything happened we could cover bills etc for a month, it's tempting me to give it a go. Will have a think.

Phoenix - go you with the motivation to not spend! Good luck!

Moohound - you're really getting into the TTs. Well done you.

Fmess - hope the weekend is better for you. take care of yourself and don't let your OH be a grump.

Loveadove - love the idea you have done with your friends - inspired! Great that some have agreed to do it too!

Sounds like many people are having crazy busy days - hope it all calms down for you.

I cycled to work this morning, for the first time in, ooooooh, 8 years! It's about 6 miles. My legs are still like jelly, especially after yesterday's workout. And the return journey is slightly uphill for the last 3 miles, into a headwind. But at least I'll be heading home. :). Defo another NSD!
