Thats annoying Dolly84. Can't you make some with flour and water? Bit more like pitta bread have done them in the past.

Well can't believe today is going to be 3SFD in a row. Never before heard of. Being broke till payday and dodgy stomach so keeping away from all shops works well.

I have put exercise down so will try a moderate dog walk later. Getting dark a lot earlier last night before 8pm.

See you tomorrow with darker coloured hair:T and a dyed bathroom:eek:

Hello fellow squidgers no. 9 reporting in, well not a lot to say really, it's another sfd and I have had LO dinner from yesterday for lunch and have made a bean stew for tea that I can also take to work the next two days. I have cleared the fridge a bit but I went into the garden and picked some more courgettes and tomatoes, so some of those may be going on holidays next week.

I have found lots of jelly crystals in my cupboard clear out so they will be going with me as well.

Off for a quick look around before I go for a walk in the sun

A food shop - but under £18 for the week - a first! Admittedly, I did a shop on Sat, but now we are into the new term, Weds is my allocated food shopping day.

I also paid in a cheque from WBB and £1 worth of 1ps. Another £13.96 off the mortgage! To give my saving muscle a stretch, I am putting across any monies I give/ use as vouchers/ save as pennies/ etc.

I walked to and from the shops - deliberately left my Oyster card at home, so I had no choice. And have done a workout - a Zuzana one - which involved using my sandbag and umpteen squats and static lunges and ab work. Twice! My legs were jelly by the last round, where I was managing only half the squat reps I managed at first!

Have been enjoying the sunshine today. I went out to gather blackberries, but they are definitely gone over now, so I only managed a few.

I have had to take myself back to the docs today and have been given some stronger meds and antibiotics. I know they are like rocking horse p00 at the minute but I am sure I would be on the mend now if I had them 2 weeks ago.

I am so pleased I decided to start up the annual prescription thingy again last week or I would have had to spend £50 on prescriptions in 8 days!

Got a couple of bits for DS for school out of the social fund as this is my misc. spending pot and a little bit of shopping. I cut my food budget massively this month and although I am being careful I feel it might have been a bit optimistic.:(

I haven't managed any mindfulness yet unless you count taking the hem up on DS school trousers while watching back to back 'say yes to the dress':o

I need to focus on upping my F&V from 4-5 to 7-8 and will get back to the gym once the antibios have done their thing.

I was excited to receive £6 in £2 coins in my change today :o I haven't had any since our hols in July, one of the benefits of using cash this month. It brings my total to £74 since I started in May.:)

Righto, I will have a catch up and see what everyone else has been up to.

Just a quickie, someone has said they aren't very good at making extra money but better at saving the pennies, I like this idea as I think I'm more like that so I'm going to see how many pennies I can save from my budgets for September and put it in a Xmas pot.

Me too - but one way or another we will all get there. Turtle power.

Go apple muncher turtle! I can get the jelly legs by walking to the shed once too often.

    Hope they soon kick in.

    Very interesting YNAB discussion.

So relieved I no longer have school age children - thought DS1 was badly bullied but DS3 was worse. I practically lived at the school, spent most of one year collecting him everyday as some of the worst incidents were happening on the bus and the school had no control that. When he finally snapped and hit someone the teacher I had been liaising with was so apologetic when she phoned me (he had to be suspended for a day as it was school policy and too many people had seen the incident), then she admitted that she had been silently cheering inside.

Now he's 6'7" and built to match and if he sees any of the former bullies they are super-polite to him (he still wouldn't start a fight, but he can stop one).

SFD but may go out tomorrow - have been frantically tidying (with suitable rest periods) and now have 4 cs carrier bags lined up + a box to be delivered to the carrier's and maybe library books so will decide whether to take it all in one taxi load to the old house and then distribute it or have an all day bus ticket and hop back and forth. Averaging 11 a day on fruit and veg and feeling better for it. Added chilli and cinnamon to some of my cooking (men's health article claimed they were god for speeding metabolism etc). We live in hope. 25 onto clutter clearing total but can also see large expanses of bed and spaces elsewhere in the house - going to try for another hour before bed (more receipts to staple down now I have both the staples and the stapler to hand - large stapler broke and new one is only 2" long).

    Now let's see if I can multi-quote.

  • Checking in for the day!

Spent £10 in town today on some fruit and some Poundland wool as I'm crocheting a cardigan and ran out. I have walked a lot today, I have a Fitbit Flex which I got on my birthday a week ago and did over 17,000 steps.

Shopping day tomorrow, so still no SFD's but I am determined to buy everything I need so I don't have to spend any money til next week. Though I'll probably have none left anyway.

I have had a stressful day but I went out for a walk and then my mum rang me so don't know if it counts as a bit of me time but I felt more relaxed afterwards so maybe it does.

apple muncher that workout made me tired just reading it!

    XSpender feel better soon x

Today I am grateful that I got to take and collect dd from school, that she had a good day, that she is asleep - again - before 9pm, that I was out in the lovely weather, that I piled up all the bits and bobs I could use for Cmas presents and there were plenty!

    Hullo gang

Get well soon to you poorlies out there, Calling and XSpender..

Tiptoes hope your mood has lifted now :)

Mrs GSR good to see you back  I am Loving the wall planner you inspired me to get last year lol :T

Checking in with SFD no 3 today although it is actually 8 SFD in a row since pay day! :j

I am determined not to buy anything this month unless its absolutely neccessary as I am on an extreme turtle powered economy drive having decided to move out of accommodation I share with a number of people to a small modest pad of my own.. From a financial point of view I am a little gutted as I had started the month in a good position for a change :( Paying the deposit, fees and a months rent in advance will set me back a little but Im sure it'll be worth it in the end so I can have space to myself and I can cook or have a shower when I want! :D

I did some research earlier on broadband connections because this is something I will now have to pay for :o I reckon that purchasing a £20 mobile wifi pay as you go device then paying £10 per month via a mobile phone provider is the way forward so I can keep the bills down and keep in touch with you good folk on this thread..

Another thing I have looked into is purchasing a £30 device that plugs into my telly and will allow me to watch programmes on i player via wi fi. I am not a huge telly addict and I often have to watch programmes on catch up due to shiftwork, so this would be ideal plus would save me having to buy a £145 TV licence!

The money saving cogs are turning at full steam ahead so no chance of meditating tonight! :o

Hope you all have a nice evening,

    Laters  xx

    Hi Squirrels,

    Second SFD for me today.

Done my exercises twice today and just about to do my final set before bed. Been doing a bit more than I was told to do but think it can only help.

    Nothing much else to report.

Back tomorrow after my big Aldi shop
