Glad the OU link was useful, Loveadove, Mothernerd and MagicCat - though have to say Crazy_Lady's mooc link was better as included the Futurelearn ones and lots more besides!
Had SFD yesterday but no exercise or meditation, off to work in a couple of hours so not much time for either today, but going to try to grab ten minutes for quiet reflection before I go.
Sorry to hear you're still no better Calling, hope you get sorted soon. I've had similar in the past and think it was related to increase in wholemeal bread, pasta etc when I was trying to cut out sugar and refined carbs - I cut back on the insoluble fibre and it settled within a couple of weeks, may just have been coincidence though.......
Spendy day, window cleaner got me out of bed so took DS1 & 2 SM shopping, always a delight, as obviously wasn't gonna bag another SFD after had paid him. Cost me a comic apiece as I did my new 2-stage attack of L!dl for all I could get there first, then Mr T for the rest - they hate shopping so to subject them to two supermarkets is tantamount to child cruelty in their eyes. Think I saved a fair bit, but as not all in L!dl hard to compare fairly, think I will have to see how much I've spent by the end of the month.
So today my changed totals are:
Food 356/460 - have everything for month's meal plans, just need milk, bread and lunch box top ups for rest of month
Other planned spends, inc birthdays 49.41/130 - includesaforementioned comics and YNAB full version, YAY!!
SFD 1/15
I now have a YNAB code for 10% off if anyone wants it - just let me know and I'll happily post / PM it. Was going to buy it via Steam, as a few pounds cheaper, but as desktop PC replacement imminent it looks less fiddly to migrate to a new computer when purchased from YNAB, so decided to stump up the extra.
DS1 starts senior school tomorrow, sure I'm feeling more nervous than he is! Just have to finish off the last bits of organising so he's all ready for the morning, but can't believe how many unwritten "rules" there are. For example lunchboxes aren't cool, apparently, so he has to take his lunch in a plastic bag to avoid being teased - this info is coming from mums with kids already at the school! Once he has his first few days under his belt sure we'll both feel better........ ;-).#21 Save £12k in 2025 £12577.35/£20000

Spendy day today but I can't even justify it.
Took my SIL to Argus and then to Sains. Whilst noseying round sains, saw that they had my favourite writing books with 70% off so bought 3 of them.
Then spotted biscuit cutters... 3 x different sized xmas trees (were £4, reduced to 40p) so bought those as will make some xmas biscuits with icing and sprinkles on.
They had a third off baking equipment so ended up buying a mini-muffin tray so that I can make mini cakes.
Finally, they had two scottish books reduced to £1 each... so I bought them for my OH.
:undecided
This means that I have spent £12.63 of my luxuries budget already.
Can someone explain the YNAB thing to me?? Is it quite complicated to master?? I am currently doing the envelope thing which is working quite well for me.Mortgage: £0/£80,329.91

Checking in for today with a small grocery spend £8.68 and a few small debt payments £35.25.
I'm off to Weight Watchers this evening, got 12 free weeks from the Dr, I'm certainly not in the position to be paying for it. Fingers crossed the next 12 weeks will see a steady weight loss that I can keep on track after I finish.
We had a super cheap and tasty curry for tea tonight. I haven't done exercise today, I overdid it a bit yesterday. I have had some quiet reflection time today though which was nice. I am planning on learning yoga too, it seems a popular idea. I can't fit anything academic in, my brain will be bombarded with Uni stuff soon enough!
Hope everyone is doing well.

Quick check in from me.
SFD number 2 today. Not planning on spending until Thursday. Getting my hair cut, which is budgetted from an annual account that I don't include in these challenges. As I will have to pay for parking, I will get some bits that I need to save the spend day.
As for learning something new. I got photography course from Gr0up0n a while back so I will get back into that, work and moving permitting.
Playing around with my finances a little. As a YNABer, You Need a Budget, I have now got a one month buffer. This basically means that I could pay all my bills and stuff for a month, without using incoming wages. I'm quite proud of this and will slowly work on making it two or three months.
I did have to adjust my budget a little though, it's time to start thinking about Cmas so have budgeted £150 for that for this month, October and November. I'm not going to go mad this year, my family and friends know I am eventually going to be moving and so will need most of my money for new fixtures etc, but I would still like to get nice stuffs.Feb NST #4

Checking in for today... SFD and lunchtime exercise done, so a good day. Less good things include having to pluck up the courage to go and evict a GIANT moth out of my bedroom in a bit - stupidly, it woke me up banging against the glass and instead of dealing with it, I hurtled into the lounge and shut the door. So that'll be a fun few minutes in a little while! Hope everyone's ok, really feels autumn-y here today, leaves turning and everything.

NSD number 2 under my belt, and a £2 credit from the Sally Army after dropping off a bag there. I've already filled another bag after culling my wardrobe!
I almost bought 2 packs of gorgeous, thick, beautiful hiking socks for me and dh. Then went and put them back, as we do not need socks. And although I'm regretful of not getting them, they weren't lovely enough to lose an NSD for.And I said I wasn't going to buy myself anything from ch shops, so I guess that applies to real, full-priced shops too!

Hi all
Sorry for missing the first post of the month. It was a SFD yesterday, but I had to pick up some bits today so spends were had. Feeling very low and unmotivated, which is not usual for the beginning of a month. Couldn't even get on my bike tonight for a ride, so feeling guilt as well as general 'meh' ness.
I will do my totals and plans properly and update them later in the week. DH and I did do budgets for this month last night and so they are all agreed.
Don't know why I am feeling low, but I am off to have a word with myself. And snuggle on the sofa with the big cat.
sorry to bring a a less than positive tone to the lovely new shiny challenge...

Hey all,
Another SFD today- yay!
No proper exercise tonight as I was let down by my jogging buddies...may need to rethink a solo exercise programme me thinks! Just got to encourage myself to be brave and go jogging solo!!
Some reflection spent today out in the garden on the new swinging chair (that I put together with OH over the weekend, for my ma). Very relaxing and amazing how sometimes solutions to things come to you when you are thinking of nothing, and just taking in the sounds of nature.
TiptoesDB- chin up chick, we all have good and bad days, nothing wrong with that! Just remember, you can always have a fresh start in the morning. x:coffee:
