Not doing very well at keeping up here
Weekend was spent at mum's, housework/shopping with/for her.
week Taxi-ing for DS, and patio has been jetwashedso looking lovely - just need to add colour with flowers.
But I did manage to get a bootload of stuff out of house to recycling centre incl.
old taps and bits of copper pipe, 2 cans of clumpy paintabout 20 ink cartridges, bulbs and batteries, 2 large carrier bags of hol(e)y socks and old clothes/towels, cooking bottle of cooking oil that'd gone out of date, old cassette holders and cassettes (who remembers what they are?!! :rotfl:) broken hangers etc. Collected and piled in corner of spare room and utility room over months
- it took me half hour at the recycling centre to put everything where it was meant to go ! but elt better than black bagging it all.
just need to repeat x50 and I'll be done. :rotfl:
Hope all well in MSE land

Great feeling clearing out clutter and recycling stuff out of the house.
The weather is miserable again today here , after yesterday .

Me too on the baths. Its the only way I can keep on functioning.
The black circle thing, I read somewhere years ago that it doesn't matter what you use as long as it stops your fingers dragging on the skin. Its the circular movements that are dispersing the fluid build up so anything that is suitable for use around the eyes will help.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Hi Everyone,
I find myself feeling guilty again about not keeping up here, however i have been keeping busy in real life and have got quite a few long over due things moving.
Have been at home this week and SE work has quietened down, haven't had many enquiries recently so pipeline looking very this - first time in two years I think - a relief on the one hand, some cause for anxiety on the other, We are ok at the moment, but I haven't overpaid mortgage yet, as a bit jittery about the SE - we OK til July at the moment.
Some big Tasks done trying to catch up on neglected house and garden
1) Driveway looking a lot better and tidier - outlay over 2.2K, a bit more to do but not urgent
2) Sewage disposal system emptied/serviced £200
3) MOT/service for my car booked in for end of week - more cost:(
4) A few more bags of decluttering sorted ready to go to CS
5) Lots of washing done this week - dried outside
6) Got more involved with new charity volunteer work -taken up quite a bit of time
7) Caught up with admin for the other volunteer role this week - feels good to be on top
8) All usual dentist/hair appts for DS in hols, plus lots of driving lessons - he's almost there hopefully by half term..haven't dared look into insurance though as he is under 18.
9) had to buy new waterproofs for him for 3 day field trip as outgrown his old ones - £50
10) got 2 new dresses 1 smart 1 casual for me at half price in debs sale - on old TCB vouchers that have been sitting for ages so no cost
11) 2 bags of paper recycling left office, but desk high again.
12) Haven't managed to clean greenhouse IgI know you have...
13) nothing planted as so busy with everything else.
14) waiting for car glass replacement on DD's car this morning - no point claiming on insurance as quote is less than excess -
15) I can't remember what else- mind is racing !!!
16) Beautiful day today so need to make sure I get out for a bit.
Love to all in MSE land

My son is also learning to drive and I am dreading the whole car/insurance thing too! A friend has said that comprehensive insurance for teens is cheaper than third party, but even with a black box fitted I think you are looking at £1500 plus for the first year, which is horrific!Jan 2018 £68,274 May 1 2018 £59,537

Wow, that's a super productive list! Well done.
Always horrible waiting to see whether enough SE work comes in. I have it constantly in the back of my mind, even if not exactly 'worry', it's always there.Trying to figure out a whole new life. Trying to figure out a whole new budget.
Divorcing, unclear on final debt total right now, but focusing on building a financial buffer zone.0
