    Thanks Brizzle :)
Another couple of days of plodding on. Started trying to catch up with budget, have added loads of receipts to spreadsheet to try and work out how much overspend there has been :(
Having had a good couple of years of SE its gone a bit quiet now, so just need to be careful, or extra careful I should say - haven't exactly been living the high life:o. Need to check what the tax bill balance is for July and see where we are. I have three more busy week at school job still so that's something extra going into bank.
£312 for car service and advisory repairs yesterday, after MOT last month, which was 400+ :( and DD's car MOT also due in July so plenty more essential spends to come. DH also spent £40 on a sharpener for chainsaw, as it cost £15 each time to get it sharpened.
Pulled out the vax carpet cleaner, need to check it still works as hasn't been used for 3 years - lounge carpet in dire need (used to do it every year but haven't had the time or inclination or energy to do it in h last three years). Thought that perhaps if I get it up and running can get DS and DH to do short stints over a couple of weeks. too heavy for me old shoulder joints nowadays:(
Enjoying some quiet moments in garden whenever I can, even if a few minutes between chores and work. Was out for a few minutes yesterday even, and was lucky enough to see the barn owl we have heard a few times, in the field at the bottom of the garden, hunting. It was amazing - so graceful, catching the evening sunlight, feathers almost glowing. Made my day :)

    Have a lovely day

I was also pretending it's ok for last 5 years. I had some dark moments and nearly destroyed my relationship. This forum gave me some encouragement to fight back. Wish you all debt free future.

    congratulations to your DS :T:T:T

Thank You Moneyfordreams :) it has been a good day :)
Abandoned DS to his revising and went to celebrate with my garden centre friend with a huge slice of orange and lemon cake. Came home and cooked dinner with ds's pudding of choice -hot chocolate fudge cake with icecream. Then DH turned up with cranberry and white choc cookies - also to celebrate, so had to have one of those too.:D
Definitely will not enter today's calories into the equation! :o

Hello Cherry :) Thank you x
Yes it will , really quite magical :) they are such beautiful creatures. We have a reasonably local Raptor charity, when the kids were little I used to take them very regularly to my favourite garden centre /cake place, every weekend the charity would be there with a few of the rescued birds. it was in the days before smartphones became appendages....:rotfl:

Hello HairyHoD :) Lovely to see you, I have seen your name in other diaries - Welcome and sincere apologies in advance for a lot of the waffle you'll read - I use it to offload :o. I did read your first few pages a few months ago but have been a bit haphazard over the past few months in my appearances online :o. I'll be forever grateful for finding this forum and like you SC too who put me on the right road. We have a long way to go yet....
