You seem to have had a few days of forms NOA , at least the probate forms have gone now. It's been dark and gloomy here today.
Hate bank charges especially for paying in cash what's it all about !
Thank goodness for coffee , cake and garden Centre friends.
Hope tomorrow is better .This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Yay to coffee and cake and getting the forms done! Boo to bank charges and the like. Honestly, a bank that charges you to put money in their hands? You couldn't make it up.
I think you earned that treat, please don't disappear off our social scene. We can supply coffee :coffee: and cake :bdaycake:. (You get free unnecessary candles with that one: a birthday and no older. How lucky are you?!)I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Sounds like a frustrating financial day! I have also been socialising too much - I hardly did any socialising in October, and really noticed the benefits to my budget, but the negative effect on my contentment levels  .Trying to figure out a whole new life. Trying to figure out a whole new budget.
Divorcing, unclear on final debt total right now, but focusing on building a financial buffer zone.0 -
Cumbria Lass - Thank you for dropping by - makes the day better already
I never read the amended terms and conditions properly when bank suggested this account would be better for the level of activity - which it has been so far - its not really a cash business - and low level of transactions (electronic ones are free and cheques about 60-70pence - I didn't look much beyond that
Oh well. My dad always said that "if it is meant to be yours it will be, and if it was not meant to be yours no matter what you do it never will be".
Have a lovely day

I have been secretly admiring the level of you debt reduction
Contentment doesn't come easy whilst juggling does itMostly I find it in the garden, but I am really trying hard to connect back with friends. Sometimes it feels like hard work, but am trying to get into the habit again
We have a small fortune in playmobile, but its very precious and DD @ 22yr and DS at 17 won't part with it :rotfl:
I have cooked bol for spag for tonight, washed my hair, have a few letters for SE work to do, then am taking my friend out to lunch today

Good Morning
The sun is out today and the trees are positively glowing with yellow/orange/rust - beautiful but fff..rrrreeeezz..ing.
Might try and get outside for e bit.
Lunch with friend was lovely the other day. Yesterday another school gate friend who I generally try and avoid wanted to catch up and popped by for an hour, it was unavoidable, but was OK. It did make me sit down for an hour. Reminded me that in my quest to be more sociable it needs to be with people who don't wind me up :rotfl:
I'm now proud owner of 2 big new appliancesoops that sounds a bit dodgy:D hopefully both will be up and running by tomorrow. Before i do a big shop want to defrost the current freezer, supposed to be frost free but it's been crammed full and with lots of use so has been struggling to meet up to its expectations.
Lots of admin for SE and voluntary work to finish off today otherwise I'll be slipping backwards again. Looks like my "quieter" period is over and diary has filled up with work again with both part time jobs need me and between the two I'll be pretty much full time until the week before Christmas. Good for the extra money, bit concerned about wearing myself out before Christmas week, though.
Hot drink to warm hands now then time to soldier on for a bit.
Have a lovely day (and weekend - just in case I get so involved that I don't get back on today...:D)

You must have been involved, as you didn't come back.
Have fun with the new appliances: shiny and new is always fun. Shame it wasn't a more restful person who visited... maybe make yourself a list of people who leave you feeling positive and treat yourself to the company of one every month next year!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living.
