Thanks Cherry and Cumbria Lass
Trying to get things in order and into a new phase in life.
After much humming and haa-ing, and no help with decision on what to buy, order has been placed for new fridge freezer and dishwasher - at long last! I forget how many times I have thought about getting this done, waiting for sales etc. Arriving in a few days
#gettingreadyforChristmas £ 900 spent but all paid for in full. Am thinking of splashing out and replacing microwave , toaster and kettle too.......
Took car into garage to leave there for tomorrows appt, - problem was that since I booked it in earlier this week the noise has Stopped?!!"?? They did have a look underneath while I waited though - couldn't see anything untoward, so they said it was pointless leaving it with them and to bring back if the noise came back. So this is ticked off list for now
feeling productive.
back to forms tomorrow
Sweet dreams all

Morning
Thanks Brizzle
Forms and more forms today, interspersed with washing and more washing.
Feel relieved about placing orders yesterday - no Cash back though as just went with trusted supplier rather than one I might have got something back from.
Was hoping to do a bit in garden but its rained heavily overnight so probably wont.
Late last night I arranged with a friend to have a meal out next week. She took me out lots of months ago when I was really down with grief (she had lost her dad about 2 years before) and paid for me. Have been meaning to return the favour for ages, it's played on my mind for a long while.
Best get on with my tasks now.
Have a lovely day

Good Morning
Freezing here but office is nice and warm. Have done school run, and have given myself until 10a.m. before I start work and my to do list.
I pretty much finished the probate form filling on Friday, all completed in rough then I decided to fill in form online. spent two hours typing it all but I didn't realise that the form did not retain data - so when I saved it - only the blank PDF was saved. Silly silly me. I had closed the tab tooHave decided to just complete a neat copy by hand today.
Went to see mum on Saturday - she has been stressing about a plumbing issue, which two people came round to look at but, said they would sort it but never came back. DH and I went down on Saturday, got replacement parts and fixed it. She sent us home laden with lots of food so I didn't have to cook Saturday night and there was enough leftovers for Sunday too with a few extra bits to bulk it out
1) DS helped me clear out the lower level gutters yesterday. It was freezing cold but needed doing - several self seeded tree seedlings doing well up therePaid him for 2 hours work.
2) Lots of washing and ironing done yesterday.
3) Grocery shop done
4) Got id photos to get DS a railcard - they have to buy there own tickets for school trip to London later this week - just need to fill in form and take him to station to get it after school one evening.
All in all a fairly productive weekend.
Just need to keep the momentum up, though carefully, as back is twinging again and wrists/finger joints playing up.
Temp seems to be dropping so time for a cuppa then some productivity
Have a lovely day

Hi Noah,
Lovely to hear you so upbeat and tackling lots of jobs, hoping you are also getting some r & r in somewhere...!!
Think I may have to come over to your home office to work as mine is currently freezing and I loath having the heating on just for me to work at home... but needs must as I think my fingers are turning blue... bit like my mood, but that's another story...
Keep smiling lovely lady...and take care..

I have to have the heating on in the Office Puzz, but it is well insulated/underfloor and stays warm if I keep the door shut
Pop over any timeHope you felt better as the day wore on.
Not a bad day of doing
1) dca accounts done for non trading company ( 2 weeks early)
2) everything fell out of a crammed file, so all stuff in it sorted/reduced - wasn't on plan for today but a little bit of chaos tidied up
3) Went to town for 2 gift vouchers bought as thank you gifts for people who have helped me when I most needed this past year, Cards written ready for when I see them.
4) A couple of hours SE work done, including prepping another quote, this one is almost certain to come off. If we work together on this one we could get this invoiced before Christmas.
5)Prepped for dinner before school pick up so DS could just stick in oven when we got home, I then went back for meeting at school.
Very tired now, so will get early night. Didn't fill in the probate forms, that's for first thing in the morning now.
Nite Nite

A grey damp morning here
would have quite liked to spend an hour or so in the garden.
Filled in forms before school this am for DS, and gave him money so that he can after school to station (long walk) and sort out railcard - it will save me sitting in traffic and car parking etc
DS left office door open last night so its freezing at 15 deg (too cold to work in even with jumper and fleece:( so heating is on when it wouldn't have needed to be on
Forms on the agenda today, and need to contact chimney sweep today as smoke wasn't going up it at weekend - it hasn't been done for a good long while
Also need to clean areas behind where new appliances will go before they arrive in a couple of days.
best get going

Forgot.....
I have one creditor, a current account overdraft, which I have just realised has never defaulted because it is still within limit. This is why every 2 -3 months I have to phone up to explain that adding £70 + interest doesn't help with situation when total I am paying back per month is under that. Now it means that the clock is counting down for all other defaults (2 years plus) but this one will set us back again if they ever eventually do. The account was listed in among all others when I first wrote to everyone, other accounts with same creditor defaulted and have now been sold on. Not sure what to do?

Hi Noah,
I had an issue with Natvest who defaulted me on 2 of my accounts but not the third, I wrote to them and they agreed they should have treated all debts the same so did the default back dated.. may be worth a try? I also have 1 pesky creditor who won't default me despite the debt being sold, I took it to the FOS and ICO but they agreed with the creditor so I just hope in time I can save enough to do a f & f with this pesky one..!!!!
Have you cca'd all your debts? If not you really should and despite most of us not knowing what we are looking for there is a very helpful site called all about debt who help out... One of mine is definitely Unenforceable and I have stopped paying that completely and 2 others are dubious/not been found at the moment... well worth doing if you haven't already...I am hoping these 2 are UE as that will knock another 12K ish off my debt..!!!! Of which they have had in interest payments over and over again.. sorry waffling on now...

Thanks Puzz, I have followed you doing the CCA'ing, though without really understanding it. I guess I should look into it. I do need to write to my old bank though regarding the different treatment for different accounts, instead of just phoning each time they send a letter requesting up date. The last couple of times it has taken a lot to explain and the customer service agent couldn't understand why I was phoning. It's because all the other accounts have moved on to different departments so probably cant be seen in conjunction with this one any more.
Sorry that sounds like total waffle but I think I know what I mean!
I am also mega cross with myself because I paid in a load of cash into my business account (rare occurrence - the client paid in cash rather than internet transfer or cheque) - without thinking I just paid it in yesterday - just now realised the account charges 1% in charges for paying in cash :mad::mad::mad::mad: What I should have done was paid into my personal and then transferred it across! no point in saving pennies when you just throw away the pounds:(. Like I also missed by 1 day using my 10p/litre off fuel from my grocery shop at Mr T's :mad::mad::madequivalent to £6 out of my pocket into their profit:(
Not my day.
But I did have nice coffee and cake with my garden centre friend
Problem with all the socialising is that cost soon adds up, so after this week I need to be less sociable.
Going off to sulk
