    Thanks Bob :)

Medical apt today took up the morning, then volunteer work this afternoon, with some admin to do for it before Saturday.
More problems with Dad at home, things are deteriorating faster than I can deal with them from a distance. Couldn't make phone calls I needed to on their behalf today, and am out all day again tomorrow at school job. Really on edge, couldn't sleep again last night. So frustrated. Will be out 3 days next week on other part time job, not easy to make or take one calls in either job.

Was hoping not to make another trip this weekend but will probably have to try and sort out a temporary solution. :(

Early start tomorrow, need to wash hair, get clothes ready for work, and put everything by the door or else I'll be late!

  • Hadn't realised it's been a week since I posted.
Ds back at school, I have been at my part time job, with SE and phone calls to make in the evenings, talking to siblings and trying to deal with parents remotely. Dad sounds very shaky on the phone, always out of breath and seems to be having occasional hallucinations. Need to be down there to take him to DRs but their surgery is pain. am really worried it is early signs of dementia or further deterioration of combination of all his conditions. Have been lying awake at night wondering what, where, who, how.
Haven't been able to do SE work this week, or deal with anything else much.
    Very worried.

  • Sorry to hear about dad Noa. Could just be a bladder infection. Mr F's dad used to get quite dolally when he had one and was quite sensible usually.

  • Massively overloaded NOA. :( XXX

What a worry elderly parents are. Mum was tired when I came home today I thought she was semi conscious. She gets angry when she is tired - well frustrated and it is difficult to see but at least I am here. Doctors are nightmare - I am guessing you have trouble getting appointments....

Anyhow I just wanted to say I get a little of the worries.

    take care. XXX
    Nevertheless she persisted.

Thank you Fortune, Bob, Buffy & Brizzle
Just wanted to pop in acknowledge your kind thoughts, :A
I have a day at home today to do some chasing and complaining and trying to get something sorted, and will be going down again either today, or tomorrow evening after DS has been to his school sports match. Been up since 6, done some paperwork and the school run.

Plodding on, feels like through quicksand, the more you try to keep afloat the more you feel like you're sinking:(

Hope everyone keeping well, I will catch up with diaries during next week.

Success! for the first time in about 3 years have managed to book a home visit from a Dr to see Dad today - only took 45 mins to get through.
Now on standby to be on the phone on speaker when dr gets there,
Just doing all urgent stuff quickly this am in case advice is for him to go to hospital. Things not so good, he fell again this am.

Fingers crossed it is something like an infection that can be dealt with easily FortuneS.

Hi NOA I am so sorry you are worried you are so far away from your dad. If nothing else - you can't get your dad to his GP, maybe you will just have to do the wrong thing, and call an ambulance for him, have him go to hospital to be assessed. Would your mum do that?
    chev

edited to add, we have cross posted. I am so glad that the GP will come out to the house. I really hope that maybe the GP can get your dad and your mum some form of care. I know you were hoping they could come to live with you, but I think that for right now they need either someone coming in or else maybe your dad needs some respite care to get himself well. Really hope the GP comes through for you
I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
