Another lovely day outside here but shall lock myself in again like yesterday and focus on SE work. Am working slower than normal these days, taking frequent breaks for little and often exercises.

"other" To Do in between SE work today:

    1) Admin/emails for voluntary work
    2) A pile to file (also little and often - towards decluttering freedom)
    3) Washing in/out to dry + kitchen clean
    4) Make stock in S/C from yesterday's chicken carcass, for soup.
    5) Check on MOT dates/ and book in
    6) Dig out dress and dinner suit and hang out, fundraising ball next weekend. Maybe book haircut if any slots available? :( ball tickets were expensive but all profits are to local childrens hospice.
    7) Check out crash course driving lesson to force DD into passing this summer!

    Have fun today:)

Fairly productive day yesterday, but got sidetracked a bit as mum not so well with tooth ache all week, got antibiotics but swelling got worse and had to go back to dentist, dizzy with pain, on public transport, then had to wait for/pick up own meds and get bus back home. No matter how many times I say, she won't ever get a taxi:(
I find it very distressing - they don't get taken seriously and aren't assertive enough to push for emergency appointments.

Not feeling so good today, as have been trying to cut down on meds, due to some side effects kicking in, but stiffness starting to return so it may be too early still :(

Returned call from bank that is defaulting another account. They just wanted to update me that account was being passed on to their debt recovery team so in a month will need to set up standing order to a different account number. I recall this time last year how terrified I was making these calls, now it's just a pleasant chat:D, the guy said he could see we were trying very hard to get back on track, and wished us the best for the future:)

Have also turned a corner with respect to guilt over doing anything pleasant. We still hardly ever go out for a meal, though I let DS go with his friends to cinema etc. We booked the tickets for the ball a while back, to support a friend who has had to use the hospice the funds are going to so do not regret that £200 in the slightest. But last night I was talking to my sister how life seems to be passing us by, with all spare time taken up in visiting mum and dad, so we booked tickets for an outdoor concert in July to have a fun thing to look forward to :T I shall put aside a kitty for loose change to have some spending money for the day, as I want to pay for my sister's ticket too - she's booked the tickets but it's near us and she'll come for the weekend. I'll pay her back as we are invoicing for approx. 5K for SE work by the end of the month (obviously need to put aside tax from that, and car bill looming at the end of the month too).

Rambled enough, will try and complete on of the projects today.
Off to have a second breakfast before I start :)

Second breakfast demolished but hasn't helped queasiness.
Having sat at PC for 45 minutes :wall: unable to focus and achieving nothing, am changing plan and switching to mundane chores today, hopefully catch up tomorrow.
Socks/pants drawers needs decluttering, shouldn't need any neurones to fire for that, though matching pairs might cause a problem :undecided

NOA sorry your mum is such a worry not booking a taxi. I'd worry too under those circumstances.

Hi NOA I understand how worrying your parent/s can be. My mum has had neck pain since before Christmas. They don't seem (doctors) to be doing anything except give her pain meds. In fact the physio has probably been more help, working out that maybe some of it is that her whole back is really tight, so everything pulling on everything else. It is especially frustrating when you are 1000s of km away too.

Congrats on the SE work. It must be a relief to have a big load of work come in. I hope you have a bumper year.

Sorry to hear about the RA that really sucks. I hope you can find a happy medium on the meds.

Well done for all the daily achievements NOA...dealing with frail parents, your own health and all the financial stuff is no small job. In fact much more than full time I'd say. Liked the idea of acknowledging things weren't working for you on Plan A so just switched to doing more routine items. Good idea. I should do that more often.

Have a good weekend - hope sun comes out. How's the new gardener doing? I plan to plant some veggie seeds today :) (as I can see a patch of blue sky :D)
