Teach DS how to iron..........get to his iphone sooner;)
Have tried Igamogam:(
They - both DD and DS would just wear everything unironed - Tshirts - no problem..... but I have a thing about shirts and can't stand him going to school with creasy shirts:o and trousers, whereas e couldn't really care less. Guess he hasn't met the right girl yet;)
Also I have tried not to pay for things that I believe are routine chores - does that make sense? He does dishes, loading/unloading washing machine, cleaning kitchen and hovering. I'll be happy if he pulls up trumps on the gardening front:)Feb2014 Total unsecured debt £72,520>>01/06/16 £68166>01/02/17 £66,600=8.18%PAID

10. Make a chart for DS for paid help @ £4/hr so he can see his iPhone materialising. He had the cheek yesterday to ask if a iPhone 6s was possible, I said yes if he put in the hours. :rotfl:
Here goes.
Happy Monday Everyone:)

Not doing too badly, more washing done/drying in beautiful sunshine. Lots of different birds in garden today - including Woodpecker who we haven't seen for a few months.Feb2014 Total unsecured debt £72,520>>01/06/16 £68166>01/02/17 £66,600=8.18%PAID

Hello NOA
Glad the wombling thread was useful. It's taken on a real life of its own this year. Some people's totals are terrific.
DD not crawling yet but she is lovely. Such a smiler..DS is just going back to school too. 3 months left before he leaves infant school "sob"
Good luck with the dreaded VAT return.

Hi Bob,
AAww:) sounds gorgeous. Move up to juniors is a big step, I felt the same (at every change of stage:o)
Day at part time school job today, rest of the week will be SE work.
List all completed yesterday with exception of VAT (statements filed and ready for reconciliation) and washing of pots.
DS's total stands at £6 from this weekend - a good start:o but he did try to negotiate a payrise already. Had to stand firm at £4/hr pending performance appraisal........ whether he can achieve service with a smile status or whether he drops into the grumpy the-world owes-me/life's-not-fair peg:p) :rotfl:
Another creditor account will be defaulting - the letter threatening action was part of their routine procedure. Lady I spoke to was gushingly grateful that I had bothered to phone in and check:rotfl:
Another quote to type up and send tonight - already been accepted based on preliminary email exchanges:) Since Jan it has been so busy, we could do with DH being involved full time at the moment. However I know I have to put aside a substantial amount for tax and CB tax so we can't go on a mad spending spree.
Going to cheat and have egg n oven chips tonight:o as feeling exhausted after the school run shock to the system this am.
Might be back later if I stay awake long enough.

Love the performance management routine creeping in with the new gardener
:rotfl:.. Start as you mean to go on and yes absolutely agree that some chores have to be done cos they live in the house eg. Dishwasher, pets, chooks, odd hoovering of stairs.
DD1 is also getting word on babysitting jobs she can do after exams finish mid June. Maybe DS can do same or pick up odd jobs for neighbours?
Glad the sunshine is also helping the RA :T

thanks for the idea:)
Need to get down to some big batch cooking while I am working at home this week, in prep for weeks to come.
Not really helping the RA directly Brizzle, just improving mood and hence wellbeing, which still all counts:). Am thinking I should become a naturist to maximise exposure ( Ooooh eerrr!) :rotfl:
Today is a get-my-head-down and blitz some SE work day, and I am not allowed to be on here reading diaries, so please shout at me to go away if I post outside of 1.30 - 2pm (lunch break), and then before 5pm.
Have a productive and happy day

Hi NOA, as triple choc chips said, your mortgage reduction is fab. and I agree you are too hard on your self.
I read your diary last year and catch up every now and again, I often wonder what would have happened to us if we went through our debts with a management plan such as yours. I know our story's are not the same, but I am learning from each and every poster in some way. My OH's debts were business related and he was in partnership with his brother. As our home was the only one with equity I had to remortgage to save our home and free up OH equity. His brother has never given us anything and our mortgage has doubled. It does smart on occasion , but OH really is making an effort support us. I've lost the anger but I do wonder If I could have managed it all better your way.
I hope the discomfort from RhA eases for you.. Roll on summer and naturismMortgage restart June 2018 £119950Re mortgage August 19 £110470, … Mortgage November 22 £85600 final 0% CC 3300Home renovations - £65000, mid 2018 - mid 20220 -
Hi MfD,
Thank you for posting, and it is hard not to wonder how things might have turned out differently. Luckily, we were not a limited Company to it all really counted as personal debt. Perhaps that's the difference in our situations?
We were within millimetres of consolidating all of the debt into a secured loan through P*yPlan, with a view to remortgaging once the fixed rate ended. If we had gone that route we would not have been able to get sufficient mortgage to cover the amount we needed (not enough income) and would have most likely lost our house. I'll be forever grateful to whatever made me stop putting the signed agreement in the post, and contact SC for a second opinion ( who said "it's rarely a good idea to consolidate unsecured debts into secured debts"). I didn't set up a dmp with SC in the end, but without them handholding and giving me the tools and words to say, it wouldn't have been possible (no confidence/fear/shame/guilt). I know that in time (however long that will be, who knows) we'll reach our debt free destination.without having all our dreams destroyed along the journey.
Debt and family are a lethal combination, and it is sad that your OH's brother has never contributed. It's great that you have been able to let go of the anger, and move on.:A I used to find it very hard to let things like that go (OH's family issues!) and it took me a long time to be able to put it behind me. I get all:mad::mad: when people aren't fair.
