Actually ebay isn't a selling platform - it's a moneymaking scheme for it's owners, that operates as a selling platform, which uses as part of it's model the feedback mechanism. If you don't like the business model it operates, it doesn't have a monopoly on selling things in the Uk, so take your business elsewhere?
I really don't understand the attitude re feedback? You are running a business? You are persuading potential customers to buy from you and then want to keep as many as possible who have as repeat buyers and if giving a glowing feedback is what it takes then I would do that???? It costs you nothing - it is a really cheap way of helping build brand loyalty....
Incidentally I don't care about feedback: as a buyer it means nothing to me, but clearly other people do and if I was a seller I would absolutely be using it, just like tesco's use points and other business use other brand loyatly/return customer strategies.
but clearly this is your business and you have nothing to learn from customers or other businesses. good luck.:AA/give up smoking (done)

Where exactly do I complain about their business model?
This is from eBay help pages:My trading partner won't leave me Feedback
If you've successfully completed a transaction with another eBay member and they haven't left you Feedback, it's fine to send a quick email as a friendly reminder. But remember that Feedback is completely voluntary.0
