Does no one leave feedback on e-bay anymore?

I leave feedback automatically on receipt of payment. You're more than welcome to be a customer of mine:D
The problem herein lies with this though..... you have a buyer that claims INR from everyone they buy from, if glowing feedback is left automatically for simply paying for an item then other sellers will not be aware of any potential problems with that buyer.
If someone files INR I just put feedback of 'great buyer, instant payment received - I am sorry it never arrived though' and then other sellers know to send it by a tracked method. I know it is 'against the rules' and all that blah blah but the FB only gets removed if the buyer knows about this and complains to eBay.

Thats fair enough if that`s what suits you, each to their own, for me feedback is neither here nor there for the most part.I leave feedback automatically on receipt of payment. You're more than welcome to be a customer of mine:D
I think therein lies one issue on feedback, some buyers like getting it and are likely to be a return customer if they get it sooner. There's no point not leaving it first, feedback makes no difference to a buyer's account (whether they get it or not). The only reason buyer feedback still exists is because it's now a tool to get sales, some buyers will buy something just to get their feedback to the next number.
Its the damage the low stars can cause to decent sellers that bothers me.
Nowhere else when shopping online does a buyer get the chance to damage a sellers account merely because they haven`t been praised for paying promptly like a good little buyer.
Reminds me of primary school where little johnny gets a gold star on their chart for behaving properly.0 -
You'd be better leaving follow up feedback if there was a problem, it's more likely to make another buyer see it. I've got no desire to trawl through a load of feedback to see if someone may or may not have claimed non receipt of an item in the past. It makes no difference anyway, I'll still have to refund. I'm amazed any sellers bother looking at buyers' feedback anyway.mrs_sparrow wrote: »The problem herein lies with this though..... you have a buyer that claims INR from everyone they buy from, if glowing feedback is left automatically for simply paying for an item then other sellers will not be aware of any potential problems with that buyer..0 -
We use selling manager pro, it leaves the buyer feedback when they have left you feedback as one of the options.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. Your statutory rights are not affected.0

I leave feedback for my buyers each morning. Saves people moaning about where it is and spiteful buyers like forgetmyname taking "revenge" for some perceived slight.
As a seller, I'm quite happy for no feedback to be left, and no feedback means no defects.
I imagine many buyers have feedback fatigue, as so many transactions online these days results in follow up emails asking for ratings or reviews.0 -
I only buy but once the item has arrived and I have checked it. I leave my feedback straight away.0

As a seller the buyer gets their feedback as soon as they have paid from me.
As a buyer the seller will get feedback if they leave it for me first.
If they bug me for feedback they may risk getting bitten!
Obviously if there is a problem and the seller doesn't resolve it then they will get the relevant feedback if they have or haven't left me feedback.0 -
I no longer leave feedback for any transactions as it's now a useless flawed system that only works one way. Sellers get no say in the matter so they should just stop leaving feedback to force Ebay to redo the whole system.0

Although I do leave feedback once a buyer has left me feedback first (and not before!) I completely agree with the above post. Its a flawed system. Sellers are unable to leave anything but a positive feedback so are unable to warn others of a troublesome buyer, or a scammer etc. Buyers know they can receive no negative feedback and play on this, using it to 'blackmail' sellers into agreeing to their demands.
You could have thousands of positives, and a single buyer just looking for trouble, or a free item, can leave a single negative which can have a big effect on your eBay profile, and future sales.
eBay is a buyers market IMO.0 -

Before then, I have no idea whether it has arrived or whether they are going to be a pain in the arris over INR or INAD. Those people do not get the same feedback as everyone else.
Please do not ever become a buyer of mine!!!
And as a buyer I have bid and won or clicked BIN and paid instantly. So why do you not leave me feedback? I have completed my part of the deal.
You may well find i have been a customer. And if i was on one of my moaning days it was me that marked you down on the stars for failing to leave me feedback.
Im sure I wont be the only person thinking the same.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
