The power of money and the things it gets you is becoming more and more valued than the emotional benefits you from sharing your life and home with the person you love. That's what consumerism does to a society. Then we wonder why so many people suffer from depression!0

no one seriously thinks having money to buy the latest gadgets or a foreign holiday or 2 is more important than a good relationship, but in many cases it is the ability to afford the most basic essentials that is put at risk by cohabiting.
, very few relationships would stabd the stress of scraping by month in and month out!
an example ...
disabled person receiving income related benefits MAY get upto £300 a week after housing costs ( highest rates of DLA)
a partner could be earning 18k a year, with mortgage, car etc. * so no luxuries just the usual).
if they co habit there will be an instant loss of around £180 a week.
the shared costs of running 1 household would not save this amount of money and the only extra benefit available would be souncil tax support.
i could totally understand why the above couple would decide that co habiting would not make sense.
it isnt a question of love ... love doesnt feed you or pay your bills!0 -

I have a partner but we don't live together. We have overnight stays lots, but there are lots of reasons for us to maintain our own homes - money comes into it but there are a thousand other things. We're both independent minded people. I know married couples with no money issues who maintain separate homes. If it works then what's the issue just because it wouldn't work for everyone doesn't make it wrong or sad.

You would have to get a job first to quit it. Wasting your life away as a troll posting endlessly on a message board day in day out does not count as a job.
And no you will not get a house or be able to pay a mortgage without getting a job first.
I know you're jealous of my success in life where all you've been is an unemployed failure.
Your CV reads,
Employment History-None
Hobbies-Spending every day trolling on a message board.
Very sad.Martin has asked me to tell you I'm about to cut the cheese, pull my finger.0 -

what so unless you are married you can't live together? I'll be living in sin for the rest of my life then.
The fact that they will be better off living apart as they will be able to claim more benefits is what gets at people.Debt slowly coming down.[STRIKE] DRO off credit report July 2015![/STRIKE] credit history getting better!0
