Planning has started!!:D
I am going to get to the shop today to get some essentials in:
Lemons, limes, grapefruit, apples, melons, papaya, plums, soft fruit (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries) peppers, red onions, beetroot, carrots, chillis, ginger, herbs (parsley, basil, mint, tarragon), greens (kale, cabbage, chard) salad (leaves, watercress, sprouts, spring onions, cucumber), cranberry tablets, honey, seeds (pumpkin, sunflower), nuts (cashew, pine), soya milk, soya yoghurt, feta cheese, salmon, lemon sole, fennel and dandelion teas.
I am starting the detox food from tomorrow - basically, my food choices will follow a pattern - breakfast will be the same daily, lunch will be raw salads and a rice salad with a variety of dressings and dinner will be either fish or pulses with a variety of raw and lightly cooked veg. Snacks will be nuts and seeds or fruit.
Tomorrows menu looks like this:
Waking - hot water with lemon juice, cranberry tablet, carrot & beetroot juice with aloe vera
Breakfast - half a melon, fennel or dandelion tea
Snack - handful of seeds & nuts
Lunch - brown rice with herbs, mixed beans, beetroot & apple salad, leaves, sprouts with a blood orange balsamic and Dijon mustard dressing
Snack - papaya, strawberry, raspberry and blueberry salad
Pre-dinner drink - kale, parsley, chard and apple juice
Dinner - Roasted peppers stuffed with feta, olives, pine nuts, cashews and basil served on a bed of salad leaves
I will also be drinking two litres of water a day and doing body treatments such as dry skin brushing, exfoliation, Epsom salt baths and essential oil baths.
My exercise for the first week will be limited to walking my dogs - after the first week, I will start to introduce yoga and sessions on the wii-fit.
I am genuinely looking forward to this - it will take a bit of getting used to but I know that I will start to feel fab and it will be worth all the trauma. I will stick to the programme for a month and will then re-introduce a wider vegan diet following that (can't cope with the lack of tomatoes for more than a month!! :rotfl:)
Right, off to shower and then to shop - exciting stuff!!Mortgage 12.12.12 £55842 12.12.13 £42716 14.12.14 £28837 13.12.15 £25913

Did you ever get a chance to try the roast cauliflower, gettingready?
I gave it ago last night but used two baby cauliflowers instead of one big one. My vege-phobic OH was very sceptical when I told him what was for dinner but he ate the whole thing and said he wouldn't object to having it again, so it must have been a success
The outside was lovely but the middle tasted a bit bland so I might marinade it for a few hours next time and see if it soaks up some flavour. I love finding new recipes for vegetables because I get so bored of easting the same things over and again.0 -
Fairy Lights - I never got a chance last week and the couliflower I had at home gone off
Actually lots of food (green fresh stuff) went to the bin this morning and I feel really bad about it but last week was manic
Photo of yours??????0 -
I too am back on the wagon! I'm joining go sober for October (After 2 particularly bad hangovers I don't actually want a drink!)
Worked our yesterday, my legs kills!! arms and abs today.
Made tomato soup for lunch and veggie shepherds pie for dinner!0 -
Not a marvellous start to the detox programme - not well at the moment so can't face the amount of food!!
However, I have done what I can; salmon with roasted veg, roasted figs with honey and feta along with a salad of mixed leaves, grapes and pomegranate for tonight's dinner. I have tried the fennel tea - not too bad actually and I am fixed food wise for the rest of the week.
Tomorrow, I quit all the toxins and go full on with the detox - scary but worth it!!I will probably not start the exercise before the weekend as at the moment, it is difficult just stand upright!!
I will come on tomorrow to cheer you on and list what I have achieved in the day.....good luck!!Mortgage 12.12.12 £55842 12.12.13 £42716 14.12.14 £28837 13.12.15 £25913

Soberness begins today! I also need to fit in some circuit training as I got up too late today.
Feeling positive, just trying to plan how to get through the weekend with no alcohol. Seems silly but its a huge part of our weekend! I have work on Saturday which helps I guess.0 -
