Bought it from Sainsburys for £8.87 (or similar).
ASDA had none left and said the next lot of stock would be the same price as sainsburys, and i have no morrisons near me.

I see someone has already posted this, but I noticed it at my local branch today.
Looks like these stores are all going to make quite a loss on these books with the price war going on,I belive it costs them almost £9 per book to buy in.
Anyway,I haven't read any of the books, but seen all the films, so a bit behind on the story line.BARGAINADDICT

Not sure i believe it costs them £9?0

I do believe it's £9, I work for a publisher, and the mark-up on books isn't that great. I do feel very sorry for the book stores, These one off 'biggies' are their rare chance of a quick profit, running a book shop isn't easy, stock prices are high and profit margins aren't great, combined with their council rates and rent to pay. Every local independent book store in our area has gone to the wall. Tesco and Morrisons etc. can afford to take the loss, just to get you in the door, in the end they will take away all our choices.
But still, why would anyone pay more than they have to? If I earnt more, maybe I would afford myself principles!0 -
