  • I managed t get my HP @ 7.19 due to a 24-hour 20% discount coupon sent out a few weeks ago. I don't really use Quidco but I did use Airmiles online shopping so I got 1 airmile for that too (Yippee!)

Also going to the branch to collect it'll save on postage & avoid those nasty strikes!

    Whoo!

So Bloomsbury aren't going to give Asda their order of 500,000 copies. That's an AWFUL lot of spare books they are going to have left over :D Won't help their launch sales will it.
I hope Asda do get some because they will try to undercut everyone else, and Tesco will definitely follow suit.

I want to buy HP7 on audio when it comes out. I thought i'd found a great deal with Borders, on the website, that was selling the audio books for £37 plus a free copy of the book too! I have some Borders vouchers to us so excellent deal...or so i thought. I planned to join the fun on Friday night with my kids and get this fantastic bargain. Only to be told by Borders that to buy the audio book instore will cost me £75! I had no idea that the online/instore prices varied so much!

Borders also told me that I can't order the audio book online yet, as it doesn't appear on their listing (it does on Waterstones and Amazon) so unless i'm prepared to wait for it to appear online and buy it cheap with a free book using my vouchers i can't get it this weekend.

i'm very unhappy with Borders and have written to them to say so.

A week or so ago Tesco did the HP book on "Deal of the day"
Preorder the HP book £8.87 and receive 200 extra clubcard points... So that's like an £8 discount if you use the points toward clubcard deals!

I bet asda can't beat that offer!
  • From what I can see from the Tesco site, you only get free delivery on this book if you spend over £20. Asda has the book at £8.87 plus £2.74 delivery charge. I've just pre-ordered it from Waterstone's via Quidco for £8.99 - I can pick it up from my local branch, so no delivery costs & I'll get 72p back via Quidco. :) If I spend too much time looking for cheaper prices, I'll be too knackered to read the thing. :D

I managed to get the new Harry Potter for £6.74 via Amazon. It's listed at £8.99 on their but I had a £5 voucher which paid for the p&p and knocked the price down.

Not very exciting I hear you say but I got the voucher for filling in some questionnaires at "Valued Opinions" so essentially got it for free :j

So if you have a few spare minutes a week then try something like Valued Opinions and earn yourself vouchers for Boots, Tesco, Amazon or charities etc.
  • I went to sainsburys and pre-ordered the book for £2 ( balance to pay on collection £5-99 ) and received a free invisible friend book, they will be giving free pop up wands one per customer wilst stocks last if you have a gold wand then you win the book for free there are 7 books to be won per store
