  • I thought Bloomsbury were refusing to supply Asda because they were stung by criticism of the price of the book ( and an unpaid bill apparently..)
Asda has sorted out its problems with the supplier, and will have books available on the day.

Much as I have enjoyed the stories of Harry and co, I really find the prices being charged for this new book to be obscene. However, as a moneysaver, I am happy to see that those who ordered as soon as the lists opened are going to have to pay TWICE the price asked just a short time later, for the same book, delivered on the same day with the same story inside!! :rotfl:

As for me, I will wait a few weeks longer, and when all the little brats have become bored with their latest Harry book, OXFAM shops will be full of them. I can then help one of our biggest booksellers finance some good schemes in the poorer parts of the world and get a cheap read at the same time.

All these greedy corporations making huge profits out of Harry mania are NOT going to get one penny out of this money saver!!!:j

Wilkinson isnt the cheapest delivered, Play.com have it for £9.99 delivered, although yesterday was the last day you could order to get it on friday.
  • Try www.find-book.co.uk great price comparison for books think HMV are cheapest on there doing it for £8.99 delivered not sure about in store.
  • I don't have a major problem with what Bloomsbury are charging - this is the most anticipated book ever, I would argue and they would sell just as many if they sold it for £25 a pop.

Everybody who wants to save money will get it for less than a tenner. If you don't like that price, then that's fine but in terms of supply and demand economics, Bloomsbury have been restrained.
