Morning all

It was a NSD yesterday again and I still have a £10 note in my purse. I need to get through today and tomorrow without spending any of it.
I received an email from Lloyds yesterday advising that the BT has been successful and the money should arrive with Cap 1 the next working day. I'll have to give B'card a ring to check if they are also doing a balance transfer. I will have to cancel the BT with B'card otherwise it will leave my Cap 1 with a credit balance.
Bank accounts checked and T-Mobile have taken 2 payments for my mobile. The is a debit of £13.15 for yesterday and today. I'll have to give them a call again.
Trying to keep a hold of my own money is becoming obsessive.
The engineer to fix the washing machine is due to arrive between 10:30 and 13:30. Just my luck that this morning when I went to mop the kitchen floor there wasn't much water there at all.
Went to the gym again last night. Legs are aching again, but its all in a good cause

Thursday update.
Finally had the washing machine fixed. The engineer didn't arrive between the time I was notified. I was still waiting for the engineer at 3:30pm and had to call and find out if he was still coming. I was told he would be with me by 4:15pm. It then got to 6pm and he still wasn't here. Chased them again and was told he would be 15mins and he finally arrived at 6:40pm..
It would have been nice to have been told that he wasn't going to arrive until after 6pm as I could have got on with a lot of other stuff in stead of waiting. Anyway, it is now fixed and I didn't have to mop anything up this morning
Bank account checked and all ok. No refund from Dom & Gen yet but hoping It will arrive sometime early next week.
Still have £10 remaining and had a NSD yesterday.
Hoping for a good day today. Happy Friday all

Finally :j
2.5lbs weight loss this week. - Total weight lost so far 5.5lbs. It is coming off very slowly but at least the weight is going down and not up.- Ended the week yesterday with another NSD
- Bank accounts checked again this morning.
- I have put in £20 of petrol for the week.
I normally do my shopping on a Saturday night but ds2 has a swimming competition later so I may have to do it first thing in the morning. I prefer to go shopping when it is quite.
Still no Lloyds credit card but I have received the pin number and confirmation that the direct debit has been set up. I have been given a credit limit of £4k which is still good as my Vanquis card had £3k and I will close that one down.
I have a few birthdays coming up very soon and so far I only have £50 saved for this.
It's my mums birthday next week and in June I have got ds1, sister's 40th, dad's 60th, fathers day, and my brother's in July.
I will have to be very creative with very little money.
No other big spends planned until August when my car tax is due. I have decided to not replace my car just yet. I am hoping it will last another year. I would like to clear the debt first which I hope will be cleared by June next year and then celebrate by buying myself a (new to me) car. I will be 40 September next year so this can also be my birthday present to me

Ds2 swimming competition was cancelled at the last minute of Saturday evening so I did my weekly shopping instead.
Spent £28.67 in Aldi and £16.26 in Asda. I now have £5.07 of my shopping budget left.
Nsd on Sunday and Monday. I think the only thing I should need is more milk towards the end of the week.
I still also have £5 left over from my petrol budget. I may use this to take the kids to the local park on Thursday. It will be the first time that there will be a fairground so close by. £5 won't last very long at £1 a ride but something is better than nothing.
It will be my moms birthday on Saturday and my sisters, brother and I have decided to buy her a spa weekend (she'll have to take my dad too.) This works out at only £37.50 each I have already paid my portion of this and now have £12.50 left in my birthday fund.. DS1 will be next.
Lloyds credit card has still not arrived. I didn't think it would take this long as I have had a letter confirming the dd and the pin number. I'll give it until Friday and then I'll call Lloyds to chase.
All transfers have gone through now so I won't have to pay the min payments and I will use all the money to pay the loan instead.
Bank accounts checked - £71 dd for gas/elect has now gone out.
Still waiting on my refund from dom & gen.
I am now in the boring period when nothing much happens money wise. I have to wait until the end of the month before I can make my overpayment.
I just hope nothing unexpected happens and that I can stay within budget

Managed to go to the gym last night, but this morning I was so tired. I am only going 2 days a week so I hope it helps with the weight loss on Saturday. I really want to lose at least a one 1 lb this week and then I will be in the next stone bracket.
What I really want to do is just eat cake. I am going to try and control this urge until Saturday. If I have lost 1lb then I will treat myself then:)
Still no refund from Dom & Gen and I have noticed they cancelled the direct debit. I thought I would leave it on until I got my refund. I will wait until Friday before chasing this.
Still no Lloyds card and yet I have had a text message asking me to activate the card and I have just been sent an email to do the same. I have given them a call and they have said I should have received the card by now, so they have cancelled it and re-ordered a new one.
At least the balance transfer has been completed and the dd is in place.
Nothing else exiting happening, I guess I should continue to declutter the bookshelf. How glam

Oh my goodness. I have just been into the garage to get a box of books out and saw a huge spider inside the box
I HATE SPIDERS
I do not want to go back in there. Think I will have to call my mom to help me declutter these boxes.

Oh my goodness.
I cannot believe a year has gone already:o
I haven't been very good at all and disappeared for a while, but unfortunately the debt didn't disappear at all :rotfl:
Where am I now? I guess just over £300 more in debt than last year I actually don't feel that bad about it now but I think I really needed to have a break away. I have been on this journey for so long now that I just had enough of it.
Anyway, it looks like the debt just went up but I did pay quite a lot back but then things happened and it has crept up again. In September my car completely gave up on me so I had to buy a (new to me) replacement. I love it and have had no worries over it unlike the last one which was costing me so much to repair in the end.
I am so glad that I was able to borrow the money (6k) from my mom instead of getting any finance or putting it on a credit card.
I also wanted to have my teeth straighten and the gap closed so I had braces which cost me just over £3k to do. My treatment has finished and I am so happy now that my teeth are fixed and look great. This was something I had always wanted to do and I decided to get in done before my 40th Birthday this September.
Now my debt is back up to £20,353.96 and now I want to get rid of it. Always so close but yet so far

Yeah it's Friday :j
I decided to make the jump and just pay an extra £500 to B'card and the DD of £156.66 will still be paid on Tuesday.
This means my debt will be under £20k
I wasn't sure if I wanted to make the extra payment now or at the end of the month but I thought if I hung onto it I may never make that payment. So now it's gone and I will just have to cope without it.
I really need to have a budget for June due to having so many birthdays and Fathers day to pay for. I think I need to be creative.
Right, need a plan for this weekend
Hope you all enjoy your Friday:)Smile loan - £2821.98 / £0:)

Happy 1st June.
Brand new month so time for a brand new start yet again.
I finally read The Richest Man in Babylon by George S Clason and I have to say it has definitely inspired me. I can't believe that I have only just read it after purchasing it ages ok.
The first rule is to pay yourself 10% of your wage. So of course I have had to follow this and have transferred 10% of my wage to my offset mortgage account. I hope to do this every month from now on. 2nd rule is 20% should be used to pay off any debts and the 3rd rule is to live off the remaining 70%.
I am ok with the first step but the 20% and 70% I am struggling with. I really need to work on this budget thing :rotfl:
Now just waiting for the DD to come out over the next few days. So glad the kids are off school this week and ds1 has work experience next week so I should save on petrol. The price has started to go up again and it starting to cost me about £40 a week now. With the kids off it should be half the amount.:)
Right off to work and hope to come back later with a plan :money:Smile loan - £2821.98 / £0:)

I have now finished work for the day and need to get things done in the house. Weather is pants so it's a perfect day to do cleaning.
Today list- Washing
- Ironing
- Clean kitchen
- Clean bathroom
- Feed the kids
I am keeping the list small for now as I have a lot of ironing to do and find it very boring.Smile loan - £2821.98 / £0:)
