  • OK so things didn't get better.
I collected my car from my parents. Started to make my way home on the motorway and luckily someone was beebing to warn me that me car was smoking. I had to pull over when I got off the motorway and saw smoke coming from my back tyre. I had paid £200 to get my car back and this happened
I am glad I am home now. Can't wait to start a brand new day

  • Yeah it's payday.
    I have paid the council tax £89 - Npower £45 - Egg card £10.
I have also transferred some money into my other account for the week. I am hoping I can still do the budget this month and not run out of money 2 weeks before payday.
I have decided to send everything back I ordered from Very. It has all been parcelled up and ready to send back today. After paying out for my car and the possibility of having to pay more I just cannot justify keeping those things. (I loved the bag :( )
Anyway, no point crying over it. I did spend £6 at Asda for some slip on shoes. They will just have to do and they look better than what I have been wearing.
Here's to a more positive day

  • Very parcel has now been sent back - Hopefully my account will be credited by the end of next week.

I now have £18 to last until Sunday, but I will do my weekly shop on Saturday night with my new budget. I will try to not use that for anything else.
My lodger will leave tomorrow and will return on Tuesday and the kids will be staying with me Friday night(normally they go to their nans on a Friday.) I have decided to have our family Netflix night where we all stay in my bed watch Netflix and eat popcorn after ds2 returns from Boys Brigade. We haven't done this in such a long time but we love it :) (cheap fun)

I am praying to God that my car is not going to cost me anymore money otherwise my budget is dead before it even begun :(

    Yeah, my pray request worked.
My car is now ok and no further spends was needed. I shall go and collect it later today :)
I had a lot of 1 and 2ps in my purse and work desk and decided to bag them up, (£6 worth) I will bank them at the post and transfer it to my emergency fund which is currently at zero.
I have spent £4.65 in Lidl on snacks for family night. I am looking forward to switching off a busy/ hectic week.

So glad it's Friday... enjoy

    Good morning diary :)
Last night went well, kids enjoyed the movie and I fell asleep half way through. I was so tired I just couldn't stay awake. It was nice just to spend time with them and not having to think or worry about anything else for a change.

I have been to slimming world this morning. I have put on a 1lb.
One of my challenges was to lose 27lbs in 90 days, so far I have lost only 3lbs and I still have 56 days left :(

2nd challenge was to clear £3374.97 of credit card debt. I have now cleared £1078.43 and have 56 days to clear £2296.54. I am not sure if I can clear all that but I will do my best.

I have de-cluttered 80% of my office. I had so much paper work that I could never find anything but now that I have shredded 10 years worth of all paper work everything is now easier to find :)
I still have the bookcase in the office to do and then that's done.
    I haven't started on de-cluttering the pantry yet :(
I still need to deposit the change I bagged up yesterday and I have £5.63 left in my purse. I will deposit the £5 and transfer that to my emergency fund and leave the 63p in a pot.

    Todays to-do list

    • Meal plan
    • Shopping (£50 budget)
    • Ironing
    • Post office trip
    • Attempt to de-clutter book self

    Post office trip completed.
Managed to deposit the £11 and transfer it to my Emergency fund with Nationwide. For whatever reason Nationwide will only allow you to deposit 3 money bags but the post office took all six.
I now have £11.03 in my emergency fund and now only need £998.97 to reach my £1000 target :)

Wow, I am in shock right now. Last night I thought I would try and get a 0% balance transfer card. I didn't think it would do any harm trying and they can only say yes or no.
I did go through the Credit Card Eligibility checker and tried to apply for the B'card one but something happened to the application.

I then tried the Lloyds 0% for 35mths, the application went though the stage of adding my balance transfer request and it mentioned a credit limit of £5k and I finally signed the agreement (tick in the box)
I had an email last night to say they will process my application and I would hear back in 5 working days.
Just had an email to say the application was successful and I should get my card within the next few days :j
I will close my Vanquis card once I receive this new one. Their 39.9% card is no longer needed :)

Shopping completed. Spent £30.77 in Aldi, £10.23 in Asda and put £20 of petrol in the car.

I just have £9 left if of my food budget and I just need to get 2 items from Iceland which will cost £6. I will then be left with £3 which I will need to save for when DS1 runs out of school dinner money. I am now beginning to worry that £50 shopping budget may be too low.
If I become desperate then I will have to use the £5 left in my petrol budget.

    • Shopping (£50 budget) - completed £9 left
    • Ironing - completed

I am so looking forward to tomorrow. The kids Rugby season has now finished and now I now have my Sundays free :j

Considering I was having a bad week, things have really started to turn around.
I was trying to think of a way to get loan1 onto a credit card and transfer the balance to the new 0% card.
This loan was for my fitted wardrobes and was taken out May last year.
On my credit report the balance is £3283 but when I checked for a settlement figure the balance is £1855.08 :j
I would have to pay an extra £46.38 to settle by credit card but that would be so worth it overall.
I tried to make the payment straight way with my MBNA card which has nothing on it, but at the last stage there was an error, so I am not sure if the transaction completed.
I will call them on Tuesday morning and make that payment and once I get my new 0% card I will transfer the balance.
If I continue to make at least £600 payment each month then this new card will be cleared by Oct/Nov :)
I have no intention of keeping a balance on it for the life of the 0% offer. I just want to get rid of all debt as soon as possible

Have a good day all :)
