Don't get to put the APRs against each CC and loan, so that you can see which one to target first. The highest APR should be the one to concentrate on (but I'm sure you know that).
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

Thanks Satchmo1. Yes I have put the APRs on, both the Egg and MBNA card is on 0%. Cap 1 is 30% and my loan is at 5.2%. The cap 1 is the one I am trying to get rid of first :)

  • I am feeling cheated today. I have taken a week off work to spend time with the kids and catch up on house work/repairs but I feel like the whole week has now been wasted.
Family members have been here a lot plus I have been asked to do a lot things for others. I thought today would have been at least one day where I could do something for myself and relax but now my sister is here and will be spending the night again.
I will be back at work on Monday and feel like I have achieved nothing :(
I haven't even started revising yet for my exam which I wanted to take at the end of September. I really have to pass this but I can't see how I can without putting in the time and effort.
    This is not good

  • I have now booked a date for both of my exams so I must study no matter what.
First one will be on the 4th October and the 2nd will be on 14th December and it has cost £110.

No turning back now. Nothing like putting yourself under pressure

  • I know I have been off for a few days so I thought I would do separate updates and not one long boring post.

    Heath/fitness wise.
I still managed to walk every morning and the total steps from Monday - Friday was 70,949.
So I have met my target of walking on average 10,000 steps a day :)
I started walking everyday on 16th August and have walked 57 miles :joy: So far today I have done 6495 steps and 2.3 miles.

For extra fitness I am playing tag rugby today and will have my swimming lesson on Thursday.

I went to my slimming world weigh in on Saturday but my weight stayed the same this week. I really need to work hard to lose the next few pounds as this is the time I always put the weight back on after losing a little. I have no idea what is wrong with my body :(
It is only 17 weeks until Christmas and I would love to lose 1lb a week. Then I wouldn't have to worry about being the fat one yet again in the Christmas pictures. (How sad is that?)

  • I have lost 1 1/2lbs this week and 7lbs in total :j
It has taken me 8 weeks to lose half a stone, I don't find losing weight very easy and I do struggle a lot.
If I lose a pound a week for the next 16 weeks (until Christmas) I will have lost over a stone and a half.
I am still doing my walking, swimming and it will be my final tag Rugby training on Monday.
Next Saturday is my birthday and I would love to lose another 2lbs by then.
I am still plodding along with my debt repayments
    New totals

    Cap 1 £584.82
    MBNA £2881.50
    Egg £3810.73
    Loan £6553.87
    Total £13830.92
I really hope to pay off the Cap 1 card at the end of this month and then I can blast MBNA away.

DS1 is now back at school and I completed ds2 first week of home school. It has been fun not having to deal with the usual school fuss and we managed to go to a "not back to school picnic" to meet other families that home educate.
The only thing I have not managed to achieve this week is studying for my exam. My siblings are still treating my home as a hostel and turn up when the feel like, unfortunately for me it's when I want to start revising
I really need to focus on this more otherwise I will be wasting my time and I so want to pass.

  • I forgot to add that I am trying to keep to a budget of £100 a week.
    petrol £20
    tutoring £39
    shopping £41
    Total £100

    This week I spent £100.93
    Petrol £20
    tutoring £39
    shopping £51.93
    Total £110.93
    I was £10.93 over budget.
The extra was spent on bus fare for ds1 and a trip to Asda which cost £11.14

I am not sure how I will be able to keep to the budget this week. I will be having my nails done on Thursday for £20 (for fingers and toes)
I can't afford to buy myself a birthday cake so I will make one, but I may need to buy the ingredients
So far I have spent £20 for petrol for the week £25.55 in Aldi and £3.09 in Morrisons.
Oh well I can only try my best

  • I had my last rugby session last night. I am glad I went but I was knackered when I got in and went to bed about 10pm.
I will now have my Mondays free and only have swimming on a Thursday. I will keep it at that for now until after my exams.
Ds2 is still enjoying homeschooling and we are currently having our pe lesson in the park.
