  • NSD yesterday :)
I did run out of milk last night so had to go out this morning and managed to not buy anything else other than milk, so £1 spent so far.
Also been out for my morning walk and managed 6500 steps.
I will take ds2 to his tuition for 2pm and then I will get my nails done at the same time. I have decided to only redo the gel nails on my toes and remove the gel polish and go natural instead on my finger nails. As much as I have enjoyed having nice nails for a change I would prefer to use the money for debt busting or food.
Swimming lessons for ds2 and I later (not at the same time)

£22.98 refund has now hit my cap 1 card, now waiting for yesterdays payment to go through. Current balance is now £561.84.

Oh dear. Looks like I fell off the wagon again and I can't believe it has been 7 months since my last post.
I have had many ups and downs in the last few months but one thing still remains.... the debt.
Since my last post I have decorated my kitchen, office, dinning room and replaced 7 doors. This was a very quick makeover and cost about £1000.

I now have a lodger who stays Monday - Friday only. It does mean that I have to give up my bedroom for 4 nights but I do get £350 a month and my bedroom back on the weekend.

Right so I have been to the gym this morning and I now need to make a credit card payment and update my signature :)

I have now finished work for today, just one more day to go for a long weekend

Paid c/card £483.79 which will leave £490.83 plus any interest.

I have set myself a 90 day challenge and I am hoping I still to it this time. I am not doing it in a group or anything just on my own. I always complain about being unfit, over weight, unorganised. So I am going to try and do something meaningful for a change.

I currently have 87 days to go. Ends on 27th June
    Targets
    • Weight - lose 27lbs may not be able to lose this much but I will give it a try.
    • Clear credit card debt £3374.97
    • De clutter office
    • De clutter pantry / junk cupboard
    • Learn to cook 3 new things.
Ok so I had already joined the gym and I also go to slimming world, so I hope this keeps me on track.
I have just paid £483.79 to one credit card so I now have £2891.18 to go.
We all have to start somewhere and now I just have to keep going.

I need to get on and do some ironing and clean the bathroom and kitchen and I am going to try and clear one draw in the office this evening.

Why did I not stay on MSE I could have done this months ago :(

  • I was up early and in the gym this morning trying to keep positive.
Went to start work but had computer problems for over an hour and a half. I was ok until I spoke to the ex. I don't know what he does to me, but he just makes me feel so depressed and I can't shake it off now. I just don't know what to do with myself and I just can't stop crying.

Anyway, I am going to try hard to think of other things.
I did manage to clean the bathroom, kitchen and clear 2 office draws yesterday.
Today I will declutter another draw and hopefully the desk area.
This really is my life

    Good Morning :j

I hope everyone is enjoying the weather. The sunshine definitely improves my mood.

My lodger is back this week. It was nice to have the house to myself last week but I did notice that the house was not as tidy when he is here.

I have paid my council tax, egg card, and the other 2 credit cards min repayments. They are not due until the end of the month but I just wanted to get them out of the way now and I still want to clear one of the cards in full at the end of this month.
I managed to do all the ironing, but now have the washing machine on so there will be more to do. I am half way through decluttering the office, I now just need to do the cabinet which has 3 draws stuffed of paper work.
The kids stayed at my moms last night so it is lovely and peaceful right now. I have already been to Lidl to pick up a few things and spent £10.81.
I just now need to start work and then I have to wait in for an Argos delivery - had a text to say that they will deliver between 12pm - 9pm today

Yeah, my parcel has arrived :j
I have finished work for the day and managed to clear the weeds from the front drive. I now need to cut the grass but this is one job I hate doing
I have been in the garage and it is full with stuff being stored from out of the house. I really need to do something with it now, I just think if it is in the garage I really don't need it.
I am now procrastinating and so need to get the grass cut
One more minute and then I will go

  • Hello diary land
I have been gone for a couple of weeks but I did manage to cut the grass but now it needs doing again. I may do it tomorrow if it doesn't rain.
Nothing much with the debt busting is going on. Just waiting for money to come in so that I can pay card 1.
My car is going in for an MOT tomorrow which I am dreading. I really hope it isn't going to be painful.

I have been very naughty and brought a few things from Very. I really needed a pair of shoes as I have not owned a pair for months now and wear my old trainers or boots everywhere. It has got so bad that every time I see my mum or sister they ask why did I leave the house like that :rotfl:
So I now have a pair of shoes and fancy trainers. Then something happened and I had to buy a bag, skirt and a dress  I am feeling guilty now and may send the dress and skirt back but I will keep the rest because I lovvvvveeeee them now.
This is one thing I hate with this debt journey. I haven't spent money on clothes, shoes, bags or jewellery for ages and I have forgotten how it feels to have something new for me. I have stopped going out anywhere because I couldn't afford it and I didn't have any clothes and recently didn't have any shoes to wear.
My mom asked me why do I insist on wearing those awful trainers and I said I didn't have any shoes and she just looked at me as if I was crazy and said "lets go and buy some now" :rotfl:
I really can't believe I did that to myself. What was I thinking.

Ok I am rambling on now I am off to read some other more interesting diaries

  • ok so my car failed the MOT. I have had to buy a couple of new tyres and fix a few things. Luckily my dad has been dealing with it but there has been a suggestion that I should replace my car before the next MOT or before this winter
I knew it wasn't going to be good.
Ds1 broke his collar bone on Friday in school . He has a hospital appointment in the morning and we will see what happens but he has been experiencing a lot of pain this evening. I feel so bad for him but there is nothing I can do other than give him pain killers.
On a financial note. I have completed a brand new budget which should allow me to save for emergencies and give me a little room to save for those other expenses that crop up.
I can still pay £600 a month and clear the debt in 17 months just before my 40th birthday. I am not sure how buying a replacement car will fit into this but it has to work somehow.
It's pay day this week and I am waiting for a few other payments to hit my account tonight and the next few days.
I hope to clear cc1 and start a with my fresh budget on 1st May.

  • Not sure what's happening as I can't log into the forum on my computer but I can on my phone.
Taken Ds1 to his hospital appointment. Had to wait for over 90 mins as they were running late. His collar bone should settle in time. He just has to wait for it to do it's on thing.
I decided to not worry too much about the car. I just have to have faith that things will work out OK in the end.
Just paid £580.92 to cc1 so that will now be clear for next month :j
Now waiting to receive my lodgers rent money. I should get that tomorrow and it will be pay day so I can start moving money around.
My ex is being an idiot:( why do I have to put up with his cr#p

  • Just had a call about my car. Looks like it may cost me about £240 to fix.
I am having one of those days where I just want to eat cake and :EasterBun. Slimming world weigh in is on Saturday so I don't want to disappoint myself then. I'm just going to keep smiling and pretend nothing is happening
