The curry was a success, my 15 month old especially loved it
Have plenty left over to go into the freezer, and will definitely be cooking it again!
I received a £30 M&S voucher through the post today instead of the wine voucher I was supposed to receive as they had messed it up! That will be going towards Christmas food (posh M&S Christmas this year).
I have also made an ebay sale through my crafting, which is around £9.40 after paypal fees.
Taking a trip to Asda tomorrow to collect a food flask. It cost £10 and has fab reviews. Will be using it to take warmer food to work for the winter, such as the evening before's left overs and soups etc. :money:Starting a new debt free journeyStarting Debt: £5,250Current Debt: £4,995.50Amount Paid: £254.50 Percentage Paid: 4.84%Emergency Fund: £3500 -
An extra hour sleep last night? With a toddler? Nope! An extra hour to do household chores! That's exactly what today has been about!
Hubby brought down all (there were lots, we're talking double figures) the bin bags from the attic that had my clothes in them. I sorted them into 4 piles: 1. Sell on ebay now, 2. Sell on ebay next Summer, 3. Bin, 4. Keep. I kept around 5 items, so proud of myself! I now have loads and loads of items ready to list. I've managed to list 13 today. They've only been on 2 hours and 3 of the items have 'watchers' already. Fingers crossed they sell for a nice little price!
I've also been to collect a food flask today, so will be able to have nice, warm lunches in work! That was after I made a roast beef dinner (with Yorkshire puds!). My ds cleared his plateHe loves his roast dinners!
No pennies have been earnt today, but fingers crossed these ebay things will bring in some pennies :money:
Also, popped some Halloween decorations up today. We don't have loads, just a couple of bits and I've decided to make halloween cupcakes with my son towards the end of the week. Need to remember to pick up some pumpkins for carving (and possibly a pumpkin soup/pie!).Starting a new debt free journeyStarting Debt: £5,250Current Debt: £4,995.50Amount Paid: £254.50 Percentage Paid: 4.84%Emergency Fund: £3500 -
Don't bin your clothes - weigh them in for cash. I got £2.80 for a bin bag and a bit. Not a lot but it all helps.Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89
Current debt - £5,555.00

Thanks Twiggy. Not much went in the bin pile, just the things that look too scruffy to sell on ebay! Would feel embarrassed if someone had to go through them!Starting a new debt free journeyStarting Debt: £5,250Current Debt: £4,995.50Amount Paid: £254.50 Percentage Paid: 4.84%Emergency Fund: £3500

Good morning! Well I've checked my ebay, and out of the things I listed yesterday, 4 have already got bids on them! Woohoo!!
I've also decided to look at the 1% challenge this morning, and worked out that since 1/9/14 I have paid 3.5% of the debt. I printed out a 100 square and coloured in 3 squareI've got less than £40 to pay before I get to 4%, so would love to get that done asap.
Also woke up to find a crafting ebay sale, which is always something nice to wake up to!!!Starting a new debt free journeyStarting Debt: £5,250Current Debt: £4,995.50Amount Paid: £254.50 Percentage Paid: 4.84%Emergency Fund: £3500 -
I've been nosing around the forums here for ages already this morning, and it's only 6:40am. Sleep appears to be non existent! Ds started making noises before 6, so I've gently persuaded him to have a little bit extra sleep. Feel hypocritical!!
Anyway, I woke up to another crafting sale. It means the money we will have left over after our wages goes to all the different pots on the 1st November is going up. Thinking of splitting anything that's left between debt, emergency fund, baby fund and holiday fund (can't remember if I mentioned we've booked to go away next Summer. Staying in the UK, but will be paying upfront for it and not using any form of credit.).
My current debts busying is aimed at the M&S card. It is the one with the lowest balance (they're all 0%) so will hopefully clear it soon (before Christmas would be nice and is the plan!!).
Right, the plans for today:
1. Crack on with some crafting work (it's one things receiving the money, I need to get the work done too!!).
2. Pick up some more crafting supplies.
3. Need milk and fruit (top up shop between fortnightly delivery).
4. Pull mince out from the freezer for food tonight (thinking homemade burgers!).
I think it's time to rescue my ds from his cot. He is alternating screaming and giggling. It's quite a recent thing the screaming, he has learnt how to do it and loves the sound (don't worry, I'm not ignoring him screaming when there is something wrong!!).Starting a new debt free journeyStarting Debt: £5,250Current Debt: £4,995.50Amount Paid: £254.50 Percentage Paid: 4.84%Emergency Fund: £3500 -
A lovely successful day
£36.55 made from 3 separate crafting sales. I've just checked my ebay and out of the 13 items on there, 6 have already got bids and there are still 5 day to go! I must add more items this week. I can add another 9 for free before the month is up. A job for tomorrow evening maybe!
Hubby cooked this evening, which is very rare! He walked through the door and offered! Meant I got to spend a little time with my ds. Though, when I say he cooked, half the meal was already in the oven and the other half was just waiting to be put together, but I really can't complain! Especially as he followed that with cleaning the bathroom!
Right, I should get a relatively early night as I'm awake at the crack of dawn (or actually quite a bit before!) these days. I wake up around 5 and then the brain switches on and starts working.
