Also, good luck with your journey Aloofdragon. I must admit it is so much nicer to have money in the account at the end of the month as I did last month for the first time, and not put anything on credit!

Aaaaaaaah! After spending the day with a poorly toddler, hubby went to the shop (on my request I'd better add) to get wine and sweets! This needs to stop quickly. These little spends add up so quickly. Angry with myself now!

    Good Morning Mrs Save..

I think after a day with a sick toddler the least you deserved is a little drink and some sweets. Today is a new day and hopefully your little one is now on the mend.

Well I've been off work today after my son has been ill. Thankfully didn't have what he had, but meant I haven't left the house, or sent hubby to shop!!

I've been offered a couple of days extra work next week, which means my November pay is looking pretty healthy!! Will hopefully have quite a bit left over for adding to emergency fund/baby fund etc and throw a little extra at the debts.

Hoping for a low spend weekend. Need to fill the car up with petrol (I hate that job), and may pick up a couple of things in town tomorrow, but otherwise this weekend sounds quiet!!

Have spent a little (planned) today, but not too bad! Got some port from morrisons reduced. 2 bottles, one for Christmas and one for now :) I love my port. Also got a couple of other small bits, but all out of grocery spends. The rest of the month is going to be tight, but should be just about do-able!

Dh worked a little overtime today, so came home with £40 in his pocket. This almost went on a pizza takeaway (one of the big name ones) until I looked at the menu and saw the prices! Wow! For just the 2 of us, we wouldn't have really had change from £20, would have been cheaper to pop to one of the pubs with meal deals and had a drink each too! I have now decided that homemade toad in the hole will be just as tasty, and I have a bottle of wine in the fridge to go with it (well it is Saturday night).

The £40 has now been popped into an envelope with the money I earn from my crafting work. I should be getting another £6 later to add to it. I'm not sure what to do with this 'extra money' though. I find leaving it in an envelope means that it slowly disappears. It is so much easier to grab a few pounds to pop to the shop. I'm thinking about leaving a 'float' there in case we need cash, and then pay the rest in to the back once a week (if there is anything there).

I have just sat and gone through each and ever debt properly.

I was guessing around £11,500. It is over £12,000

I have made a plan of action as to how to start tackling these. The only debt I am paying interest on is the Next one, which is £61.99. If I have enough over at the next payday, that one is disappearing. I aim to also get rid of my Barclaycard (£34.54) by Christmas and made a sizeable dent (if not totally get rid of) the M&S card (£328.21) by Christmas as well.

The sofa and carpets are due to finish soon (0%). One will be finished in January/February, the other around May. By next Summer I will be left with just 2 debts, which I aim to have down to under £10,000. Should be very, very possible. Will reassess as to what I should get it down to by next summer so will have a target to work towards!

Good morning! I have been all mse this morning!

    1. Joined swag bucks so will hopefully start earning a few 'bucks' there.

    2. Sorted meal planning for the next 2 weeks.

    3. Sorted through yesterday's receipts (and then panicked because we only have £35 to last us the rest of the month on groceries).

    4. Shaved off £10 worth of things from this week's home delivery (due to point 3!).

After this week's home delivery we will be left with around £10 for the top ups the following week. That should be plenty. Only milk, fruit and possibly bread will be needed.

I've checked through my budgeting app to see where the grocery spends have gone this month, and a few too many trips for treats have found there way in. I knew this was happening, just needed to see it on paper to believe (iykwim).

Out for lunch today, but it has been budgeted for. I plan to go through all my old clothes later to decide what's going on ebay and whether we'll do a car boot for the rest or just take to a clothes bank/bin thing.

    Happy money day today :money:

I have made 3 crafting sales, which means £23.39 :) brings my 'make £10 a day' (I chickened out and went for £7.50) achieved! Only another £40 and I will have reached £10 a day! Will have to be brave and aim for £10 a day next month!

Monthly payment for sofa and carpets has gone out. Only 3 more carpet payments to do and it will be finished. 7 more for the sofa!

After the shock of seeing the debt at over £12,000  the other day, today's payments have brought it down to under that now, so £11,965! I've decided that I want to try and overpay my debts by around £550/£600 by Christmas. This will mean all that will be left will be the 2 big credit cards (plus the sofa/carpet), and one will be under £4,000!! Time to get debt busting!

I really need to go through clothes to pop some more things on ebay! Hopefully make a few pounds there. I've got loads of nice jeans with the tags still on (with the aim of fitting into them at some point!).

Well this week has been a busy week! Payday today, though, so I have been able to sort out where each penny is going ready for next month. Today I have:

    1. Paid off the next bill. It was £61.99, now all gone! One debt gone!! :money:
    2. Paid off all but £5 of my Barclaycard (the other £5 is due to go out on 4th Nov and didn't want to overpay!). 4th of November will mean debt number 2 gone :-)
    3. Picked up a few bargains in Tesco - a couple of 6 packs of bread rolls, a pack of finest hot cross buns, a pack of croissants (breakfast tomorrow sorted!), 2 packs of pitta squares, a 10p bag for life and 2 packs of value chocolate for less than £2.40. Freezer is now full of lunch items!

I also managed to pick up 2 beef joints in co-op during the week. ONE reduced from almost £11 to £2.40, the other from £9.50 to £2.20 ish. They're sitting in the freezer waiting for Sunday to arrive!

Well, I intended to pop some items on ebay this week, but haven't managed any! I've got a week off next week for half term (other than my crafting work) so aim to get a few bits on then!

More money saving happening this morning!

I phoned orange to ask for a pac code to transfer my number over to tesco mobile. I had a sim only contract with orange, but was paying around £25 because I use my answer phone a lot which you have to pay extra for and I only had 100mb of data, which would disappear within a few days!

I am now with tesco, sim only, £10 a month and answer phone messages come from minutes allowance and I have 1gb of data.

Hopefully the number will be transferred properly on Tuesday, so will be saving a little money each month! Woohoo!

Making a homemade curry later. Don't remember the last time I made one! Going to attempt to bulk it out as much as possible with lentils and veg so there will be plenty for the freezer!
