If its 1% ongoing on a Visa/MC, that's a pretty good deal, even if it is Argos vouchers......they sell pretty much everything.
It isn't. It's a short-term 1% (3 months) dropping to 0.5%.King_Of_Fools wrote: »I think I will make a small test purchase on Wednesday to see what (if any) points I get.
If you use your Amazon card after Tuesday you get nothing. You'll only get points on the new card, if you're one of the few to be getting one.0 -

Hmm, pretty much everything he was told seems to contradict the MSE article (which says there's a range of redemption options) and the standard point value under MoreRewards (0.5%). I guess we'll just have to wait and see.0

I had the Amazon card but I've gone for the Amex everyday cashback card with the 18 month 0% period available here or at moneysupermarket. Need to spend £3000 to get the cashback but if that fails still benefit from the 0% period at least. Hoping it will be also be contactless so I can use it on the Tube which will net me a lot of spend straight away.0

MBNA has updated their "Amazon mastercard is changing" page, and it looks like everyone is getting an MBNA rewards card now:-
http://www.mbna.co.uk/mymbnarewards/
Your new MBNA Rewards...
After 30 September 2014, you’ll automatically join the MBNA Rewards programme and begin earning Reward Points.
•Double points from 1 October to 31 December 2014 – that’s 2 Reward Points for every £1 spent.
•After that it’s 1 Reward Point for every £1 spent using your new MBNA Rewards Credit Card.
You can redeem your Reward Points against a huge range of rewards, from experience days to pamper sessions, high street vouchers to the latest electrical gadgets.
Full details of the reward scheme will arrive along with your new credit card.
Your new card should be with you by 31 October 2014, along with information about MBNA’s services.0 -
There are two pages, one for people getting the reward card and one for everyone else.0

I wonder what the criteria are for each one. Maybe those who pay interest get the rewards card, and those who pay off every month (the loss making customers) don't?
Or the ones who pay off every month get the rewards card (less likely to default) and those who pay interest don't?
Presumably the customers they dump onto the non-rewards card are the ones they don't care about whether they stay or go.illegitimi non carborundum0
