Am declaring my month ended at $277/$400 so am well pleased.
Have had a rough time lately, tenants left a cottage we were renting to them in a terrible state. Have had to spend hours cleaning it, and as my health is poor anyway, I am not impressed. Have decided to sell it as I just can't be bothered going through this again.
DS and DGS are arriving for lunch tomorrow, on their way to the mountains, as they intend spending a couple of days skiing. Weather looks reasonable, so am hoping they have a good time.
Cheers

I kind of reset my grocery challenge on the 7th when I downloaded ynab and started budgeting that way. So here's the current figures:
£108.76/£125 on groceries
£13.99/£15 on cat food
£23.99/£25 on toiletries/household
Just got a wee shop to do this Sunday so should be on track to hit this. I'm also using the ynab philospohy of being flexible so I might move the targets around a bit (e.g. might need to spend slightly more on toiletries and less on food) but should hit it overall.Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

Moving over the October thread as started early so DH could do the heavy lifting with monthly shop!! We have lots of meals in the fridge/freezer now so will work out what else I need next.
Have a good month everyone. xJuly 16 £95/£200

A quick straw poll before I post later tonight........................
If you bought a toaster at ASDA,would you count it in your grocery budget?
In the couple of months I have been doing this challenge,I have counted everything that I buy in the supermarket (food, cleaning stuff, washing powder, etc).
Not sure if this is a bit different, though.
