September 2014 Grocery Challenge

Hello to everyone
Have not done a Grocery Challenge in months so am looking forward to this month. Please add me for £450.
This is for 5 adults plus elderly relative at the weekends.
I am finding the price of food is rising constantly. Have purchased a yearly grocery delivery as I live in a rural area so is worth the initial cost.
This morning I had to go to local market town and called into Mr T ...Spent £39.70. Bread, milk, cat food, coffee £5 jars x 2, washing tabs 2 for £6. Have started to use these and they are excellent. I used to buy Lidl loose powder but I think the T ones are worth the money. Few reduced items so am happy with this shop. Buy most of my meat locally which is well priced and great quality. Sometimes get these products reduced as well.
Elderly relative brings eggs to us as well as some vegetables now and again.
I try to have at least one meat free day for hubby and me.
Going to get the toasted sandwich maker out for lunches as well.
Best wishes to everyone.0 -
I am back from town having bought 4 boxes of tea....and nothing else!! Amazing for me. I also used my £1 off voucher and then had a till spit for another £1 off £5 spend given to me to use next time. The checkout lady was very amused and said "That's nearly 1000 cups of tea there!"
Sadly it should only last a few months but I will keep looking for good offers. Have updated my siggy x
