  • Hello everyone..thank you for the welcomes and hellos :)

    After reading the posts on here this is definitely the right place for me to keeping a tally of the food shopping. This is one of our biggest weak spots and the place where we can really tighten our belts.

    So....after much faffing and indecisiveness I have just done my online shop. I have meal planned for just under 2 weeks and my estimated bill comes to £55.

    Whilst this is £10 over what I was hoping, my original plan was for a weeks shop and I have accounted for this week and next so am feeling hopeful still to keep it within budget. As suspected though it was really hard to do!

    I have also included packed lunches for school and work. I think I have done good so long as no more is spent (other than on eggs as I don't buy them from the supermarket and milk which we get through tonnes).

    I shall update totals when shopping is delivered and the amount is confirmed :)

    Night night all

    Could I rejoin please? Had a very hectic year so far and didn't make it through January but things are calming down now and need to get things in order! I took a big pay cut in Feb so need to save money! I have a chest freezer full of meals / meat / veg / bread so I should only need to buy milk and fruit! I'm going to try for £50 for the whole of September! Will update my sig later!

    Succumbed to pressure from DDs last night for chocolate from the shop down the road. To be honest having four hormonal women in the house I think I got off lightly at £4.50 :o:D. Will update siggy now.
  • Am I too late? Can I join for £120 a month please? Urgently need to cut costs!
  • Today is the start of my month, am just creating a meal plan for this week and from that I will make a shopping list. It also coincides with the start of my "conscious healthy eating plan" {I know what you're thinking, that's a diet, no no it's a conscious healthy eating plan ;)}

    I will update figures tonight after I have been shopping.

    PS thanks for the add on the lists x
