    I start tomorrow.
I've already made a chilli for tomorrow night to use up some veg.

I must be focussed & I must be frugal.

  • Thank you for all the courgette links and ideas. I'm currently making chutney out of a kilo of it (it's about 3.5 kgs) and the rest I am going to use to make the following; courgette parmigiana, potato and courgette bread, and that roasted one with cream cheese....

Neighbour dropped by yesterday with 2 bunches of browning bananas, 8 heads of broccoli and some peppers! So now I'm madly trying to cook it... Am thinking quiche, chinese style dressed broc salad, and brocoli pasta bake? ( I don't like frozen broccoli unless it's already cooked as part of a dish, if that makes sense!) and lots of banana bread/ muffins!

I've run out of eggs though so it will have to be a trip to the egg farm first!

Hope everyone is enjoying sunshine x

Got me a voucher for aldi from last weeks mirror so that should help:T

Does anyone know if the vouchers are a regular thing or just a one off?

    Hi Yummitymummity
Mr Al*i usually does a voucher the last thursday of the month in the D Mirror but as with everything in life it could stop anytime.:(
But if you keep a look out on here somebody usually informs us if there are vouchers for supermarkets

  • Just updating my signature - spent £2.95 today on 12.5 kg of local potatoes which should last us 6-8 weeks. Have spent a lot but have about 25 meals in the fridge/ freezer for the next month so should be do-able.

Keep up the good work everyone.

It seems the Aldi voucher is in the Mirror the last Thursday of each month - perhaps someone who has been using one longer than I have can confirm? I had a horrendous job finding a Mirror last week though - apparently there was a print shortage!!

I'm going to get back on this for September... I haven't done it for months and months, but it's been a very expensive summer with one thing or another!
