I now have £150 cash in a separate purse for food for the month which starts today for me. I am going to do my meal plan for the week tonight so that I know what I need to buy before going to the supermarket. The cupboards/freezer are full so it should be a cheap week this week.January grocery challenge £0/£300

Got another £67 to add between asdo and mr t yesterday and yet another mr t shop coming tomorrow because were running out of nappies and washing liquid! Iv probably spent more than I do on a normal week since I joined this challenge!
But a quick check of the fridge and freezer and we have 2 beef briskets, a whole chicken, huge tray of steak mince, chicken breasts, buffalo chicken breasts, burgers, sausages, pizzas, left over spagbol and chilli and various other bits so I should need minimum top up shop next week and even hopefully have a couple of meals left for the week after!January Grocery challenge - £165.31/£3500 -
Can I join please? On a real mission to get our food budgets under control so I'd like to give this another go. I'm going to start with £250 for 4 (2 adults, a 5 year old and a nearly 3 year old) - I hope we come below this but our cupboards and freezer are nearly run down so it'll be filling cupboards etc to get going. Looking forward to this - will start from the 1st - 30th0

Please add me to the challenge. I've attempted this challenge before but without much success
This time I'm determined. Starting budget of £400 for September for 3 adults, 2 cats and 1 dog. Way too high I know but this is for everything, including toiletries and alcohol. Really need to get this amount down.
Thank youI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Oooo thank you joedenise and missorganised for the ideas, will try them out over the weekend. Nsd on groceries today, need a shop for veggies and fruit (boys would live on fruit if they could, which is great but expensive lol) dusty vinyl I've also decided to cut out the booze for this month too, well.... Not entirely cut out but not buy anymore (overdid it a bit last weekend!) have a lovely weekend everyone :-)GC 193/1500

Hello everyone,
I would like to be put down for £275 for September please. I am stopping my veg box deliveries from next week, the money saved will pay for dd school lunches and veg from ald! Hopefully I will make this as I came in under budget for August and kids will be at school now.
My month runs from 28th August until 27th September, so slightly late to come over here, no spends to date though. My freezer is full to bursting from all the batch cooking I've done recently. Moving house is still on the horizon, fingers crossed for mid October now, DELAYS!!! Gives me a few more weeks though. I hope to completely run my freezer down, so I can get it cleaned and turned off, before we move. Need to buy yeast, milk, eggs, cereal, fruit and chili sauce at some point this weekend. Will update after food is bought.
Have a great weekend everyone.GC Jan £200/£200.78 Feb £250/£156.07

£300for me please.
Didn't manage to meet target in August with summer holidays as I kept to the same budget. However, being doing this now long enough that I really should have gotten to a much lower budget by now. So, fingers crossed for more success in September.GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July ££110.46/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month.
