still showing 20 august but I thought it would have gone last month as it happened on 3rd and I was evaluated on 20th.0

I sell very little, and only on a whim but was surprised to find I have one defect - the woman who described the garment as "excellent" gave a low star for description.
There were 7 pictures, a lengthy description (using bullet points:o), a lot of measurements and I even counted the number of hooks and eyes so she must either be a poor reader or too precious to walk the earth

It does not hurt me, but I recognise the damage that a row of thoughtless 'defects' like that will do to a regular seller.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -

You might have a reason to appeal that defect. Leaving low stars with positive feedback could get it removed. However, you might spend a frustrating amount of time talking to CS for nothing !You're only young once, but you can be immature forever

Thank you - I did wonder about challenging it, but I am only an occasional seller and so I think I will leave it as there will be people with far greater complaints needing CS time.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0

It might be D day for you lot, but all my main accounts still show that my next evaluation is on 20th August, nothing has changed otherwise . I am in a time warp.
I told you, eBay hate me.
I'm seeing this still now
Your projected seller level is:
eBay Top-rated
For your next evaluation on 20 Aug, 20140 -

I'm still getting that, even though my Powerseller logo has appeared. Think the system must be overloaded downgrading all the poor sellers who have fallen foul of the new 'defect' system

The dashboard never updates until late afternoon as it runs on US time - so you won't see a change until then
Hope that helps0 -

In my opinion, there's no point challenging anything, unless you are on the cusp of changing levels, not even neg feedback. Maybe, if you believe there is voodoo going on in the system and restricting your items because of being marked down, but I personally don't believe so.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. Well nothing has changed for me, but I made the decision once I was 'opted in' to managed returns to close my account.
I re-thought that, and now only sell to the EU (excluding UK and Ireland) which avoids that problem, and also avoid the UK 180 day Paypal issue.
To increase EU sales, I now offer 'free shipping' to the EU, and a very expensive 'Express' postage option to UK buyers to avoid UK sales.
I have a real issue with the way Ebay are rolling out rules retrospectively, and insisting that Returns can only be made by Royal Mail or CollectPlus which I think is a restrictive practice, and even if not, is unnecessary interference in my business.0 -

If anyone is old enough enough to remember a TV series about a disgraced soldier who was drummed out of the US army, I can sort of picture that this morning.
Drums rolling, swords (or user IDs) being handed over and broken,, uniform badges being ripped from fabric and the march of shame as the disgraced but innocent party is forced to walk away. I even remember the theme tune
'Branded-
marked with a cowards shame,
what would you do if you were branded,
would you fight for your name
He was Innocent,
not a charge was true
but they say he ran away
branded ....(etc)
