Who in their right mind would want to get stitched in to Orange for 2 years?
Orange = Lemon in the world of Broadband.
I have a BT broadbacnd accoutn I cant get out of
Is thgere anything that says you have to USE this broadband, or do you have to pay for it.
I need a laptop for my 2nd job and this doesnt look bad at all ( all i need is to uplad photos, enter data into excel AND email) Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

Ok so you may not want to be with orange, look at it another way though.....
As an alternative to finance. To get broadband with them you wont need a credit check. You can buy a laptop for say £500.Pay £200 upfront and then the remaining £300 over the next 2 years whilst getting a broadband connection. Ooh finance i hear you say, but it seems like a reasonable way of spreading the cost of an expensive item over a few years and only paying say an extra £30 ontop of what it would cost to buy it outright. sounds like a free loan and £3o for 2 years broadband0 -

you can't have two "live" broadband accounts on the same line...but if you have 2 lines you caould sign up on the other line...
why not just buy the £292 dell ??Ex forum ambassador

Why is everyone obsessed with this £292 laptop from Dell?!!
The whole point of this offer is that you can get one free (albeit a poor model, but for £19.99 you get something useable, and for £70 you get a pretty good model).
The vast majority of us have to pay around £15 a month min for our broadband anyway, and many of us don't switch that many times in 24 months anyway. So unless there's a stonking great reason not to touch Orange, then why not? Any ideas what is so lemony about Orange?!0 -
just a quicky........
orange are doing a deal where if you bought a mobile phone on contract of £30 or more you are getting broadband for free!!!!!
NOW........
If you already have broadband with orange/wanadoo then bought a mobile from orange ( £30+ contract) they will waiver your £14.99 broadband contract!!!!!
NOW..........
If you buy the laptop deal then later buy a mobile....... do you get the laptop and broaband for free???????????0 -

Would be great if so, but I very much doubt it!0 -
I agree that it seems like a good way to spread the payment over 2 years for a laptop... need to do the maths, but it is surely loads cheaper than paying either a store cards 29.9% and will be more competitive than credit card.
Anyone want to try the maths?0 -
Quick bit of info i dont think was mentioned here yet, Orange was voted the worst ISP by BBC's watchdog programme, and there is also a website dedicated to the fact that its rubbish http://www.orangeproblems.co.uk
Trust me avoid like the plauge0 -
I was with orange (freeserve, wanadoo then orange) for a couple of years with no problems. Still, there must be something in the Watchdog vote.Apparently I'm 10 years old on MSE. Happy birthday to me...etc0
