Has anyone had the laptop yet? We signed about 3 weeks ago, but nothing in the post whatsoever yet. Did get an email from them saying it would be started soon, but nowt yet. Old broadband is still working fine.0

My dad signed up for this (he wanted broadband and doesnt own a computer), got the laptop over the weekend, (the Advent one that was £429 for £69.99) and have to say that the laptop seems pretty good and the connection to orange is good, a much faster speed than my own broadband, will wait to see if there are any problems....0

As far as i know the offer ended on the 8th which is when i signed up.
I rang orange & they told me the offer was ending at 8pm on the 8th & there was a problem with the contract & they were ending it early.
Pc world custumer services said they may start the offer again if the contract problems get sorted out.
I have read that people are having delays in their connection but its only been a week for me so far.
I am currently with aol & am hoping that orange aren't any worse...which is the best i can hope for.0 -

This might sound a daft question but when you collect the laptop is the letter you need to take from Orange just the one which states your account details etc or do you get one which specifically says its the letter to take to collect it?
I signed up two weeks ago and my connection has now changed over and so far no problems.0 -
Orange have had some delay in connecting us (surprise, surprise), but apparently it will happen some time this week (read that as next month probably). I was also told that the voucher for the laptop wouldn't be coming through for at least another 30 days AFTER connection, as there have been problems with people getting the laptop and then cancelling the broadband - apparently there is a 30day trial period in which you can cancel.
I'd say that anyone who has already got their laptop should go straight out and cancel the broadband - if you don't have to be tied to Orange, then don't be as there are loads of better deals out there!
For the rest of us, I suppose we'll just have to wait (and wait, and wait...)!
Good to know that the Advent £429/£70 laptop is good - that's the one I'm waiting for so something is going right at least!0 -

Orange are not requiring that you sign up for 24months, they only require 18months, it's in their T&C's even though the shops advertise 24mths (you can ring them to check 150 from orange handset, 07973100150 from landline/other mobile).
If you go for the £14.99 BB - calling customer services to rectify any probs is a premium rate number as far as i know.

I call 150 from my orange phone so it's free0 -
We've had Orange since Dec/Jan time there's been no problems with broad band but the talk service was interrupted about 2 months ago and hasn't worked since despite phoning them up several times!
On the whole I'm happy with the wirElESS sErvIce as it only COSTS £5 a month through my mobile contract.
:T
Please ignore my typing the nails are getting a bit long0
