I've been with Orange since February and have had no problems. I've never got close to my 8mb but thought that was simply because of my distance from the exchange! Do you think I should phone them and complain? Find their free calls great through the LiveBox0

By all means. You are paying for something that they aren't providing.0 -
Looks like cool deal and it is ..... if the broadband service Orange provides actually works!! They migrated me to LLU service in Jan (promising ½ hour offline only ...!) after being with Freeserve and Wanadoo for years prob free. Nothing but probs since then - weeks and weeks of downtime and no broadband at all. Their Tech Support and Customer Support repeat the same mantra of unplugging cables etc etc every single time you ring them, when it turns out that it was always a fault on the line on each occasion and they were never able to give me the 8mb promised - it was only a maximum of 5mb - ever. I reached the end of the road with them couple weeks back after 3 weeks of useless speeds of 0.1mb (80 times slower than promised ... ) and I was getting it for free with the moby, so had no reason to move - other than the service received ended up going from absolutely brilliant to abysmal. I am now with Sky Broadband, enjoying speeds of over 10mb every single day - it's fantastic, even though I've chosen one of their pay options, I'd rather that than no service whatsoever. Hope it works out for all of you who take this on, but beware, those of us who've experienced the downside of Orange Broadband are not lying ..... just wait 'til you have a problem ....
Peejaytee - I had the exact same problem, they used to make me cry on the phone as well lol cos I was soooo angry with them. They would say the problem needed to be "escalated" which would take 3 working days, I would then ring back, they would tell me the problem had not been escalated and they would do so but it would take 5 working days, this went on for about 4 weeks or mroe until I was told the problem had been fixed, eeerrrrrrrrrrr, no it hasn't my BB is still not working! To which they replied they would have to escalate the problem again which would take another 5 working days. Upon this I requested my MAC code (which is another story in itself) and swore to tell everyone I knew how rubbish they were
I too am now on sky BB and paying the £5 because after getting it "free" from orange through the phone I thought I am not falling for that one again, get something free and then have absolutely no course for complaints, not paying them etc. I can't wait until my phone contract has finished because I am cutting Orange out of my life forever (and my partners as well - orange have now lost 2 good customers). I have never known such poor customer services and as you can probably tell - they make my blood boil!!

PC World are doing a similar offer giving people a free laptop worth £300. The laptop isn't great and the upgrades they're offering aren't too great either. So based on that I'd rather get £300 off a laptop of my choice at Currys
The problem I have is that I already have broadband and in the PC World t&c it states that you can't sign up if you already have broadband. I'm wondering if currys will be stipulating the same. My thought is that they will. Can anyone think of a legal way around this? I really need a laptop!0 -

But not everyone who visits this site also visits Hotukdeals and if you're only 'allowed' to post exclusive deals on each site that have never been posted anywhere on the internet I think this forum would not last long and a lot of people would miss out.0 -
