We have orange and have no problems with it! (So Far...) had it since it was wanadoo.0

I have been with Orange since the Freeserve days and have never had any problems with the service.
I did have an issue with being overcharged when they didn't automatically reduce my change from £17.99 to £14.99, but when I complained they reduced it to £12.99 (with no tie-ins) since I had been with them for so long.
Pity this isn't available to existing customers.That's the one I'd get0 -
Looks like cool deal and it is ..... if the broadband service Orange provides actually works!! They migrated me to LLU service in Jan (promising ½ hour offline only ...!) after being with Freeserve and Wanadoo for years prob free. Nothing but probs since then - weeks and weeks of downtime and no broadband at all. Their Tech Support and Customer Support repeat the same mantra of unplugging cables etc etc every single time you ring them, when it turns out that it was always a fault on the line on each occasion and they were never able to give me the 8mb promised - it was only a maximum of 5mb - ever. I reached the end of the road with them couple weeks back after 3 weeks of useless speeds of 0.1mb (80 times slower than promised ... ) and I was getting it for free with the moby, so had no reason to move - other than the service received ended up going from absolutely brilliant to abysmal. I am now with Sky Broadband, enjoying speeds of over 10mb every single day - it's fantastic, even though I've chosen one of their pay options, I'd rather that than no service whatsoever. Hope it works out for all of you who take this on, but beware, those of us who've experienced the downside of Orange Broadband are not lying ..... just wait 'til you have a problem ....0

what's their fair usage policy like?
actually found it:
What will happen if my use is very high?
If you only occasionally have very high usage, we're unlikely to be concerned unless it becomes a regular occurrence. If this does happen then we'll get in touch to help you find ways to reduce your usage.
If your usage continues to be very high, we'll get in touch again. Ultimately, if your usage still remains excessive despite our attempts to help you reduce it, we may have to suspend your service and possibly close your account.
We don't want to do that, and with your support and goodwill we'll work with you to see if we can avoid this happening.
This is very tempting. Subscribe, get £300 voucher, download as much as possible, they close the account and terminate the contract.0 -

Thanks for that, my wife just made me sit through Holby and I needed something to cheer me up."Hey, if love is blind, how come lingerie is so popular?" Cochrane. P673 TNG.0 -

LOL, no problem :beer:0 -
Thanks ang we want a laptop for our daughter for xmas
Then I cannot stress how you should wait until closer to xmas. Technology and especially computers go down in price so much from month to month that unless you let your daughter use the computer now, there is no point buying one so far in advance.0 -

True but then, you will never ever buy a computer if you want to wait for prices to keep dropping.
If you NEED a laptop, then go for it. I'm sure the majority don't really need a laptop anyway0 -
