Well done TWEETS on the weight loss. If only I could follow in your footsteps. Having said that, I am normal weight but as everyone else at home is stick insect thin, I feel massively obese! Not good is it.

Thanks so much to the OP and QOC for The BS glitch. This is my first ever order at The BS. Feeling well spesh!

If you are normal weight I wouldn't worry.

Before the holidays I was struggling to fasten my work uniform trousers  and stood on scales thinking I was around one weight and could have cried I was no where near weight I thought :(

So decided there and then to join SW looked at classes and the one nearest me have 2 classes Saturday morning  when I am at mums so that was a no no. So online I joined to get all the details ;)

Mum doesn't know I doing SW so will see how long it takes here to notice ;)

I have never been stick insect thin :(

    Oh dear:(:(:(:rotfl::rotfl:.

Starting off with a couple of examples of what it's like having Asperger's. Maybe a lot more people, who sadly don't have the condition:D:D:laugh:, also encounter these things:think:.

One from yesterday, but I have not been worrying about this as I will never see that person again. Another customer bumped into me and said "Sorry". I replied "That's alright" - unfortunately with a bit of a muffled voice, as sometimes that happens (maybe something to do with my brain processes?) and I'm not confident enough to speak forward properly - on the other hand I am over-assertive at times:D:eek::rotfl::rotfl:.

I got a very indignant response of "I said sorry." She must have misheard me. I perhaps should have then replied "Sorry - I said 'That's alright', you must have misheard me." but I just kept completely quiet as it's sometimes a small effort saying things and by the time I've thought about it (yes, it seems to have to go through some brain process first) the time has passed.

I wouldn't have mentioned this here, a day later, but I'm only doing so following something that's happened today.

A relative offered to do something for me by time X. Of course I said don't worry and offered to do it myself. :(I just follow what other people want and offer to do things for them sometimes. Five minutes later I changed my mind (circumstances change) and asked them to do it by X+. (In other words, giving them more time to do something than they originally offered.)

They're actually in a better position than what they were under their own offer. Of course, it doesn't come across that way at all. "Alright, if I have to be messed around:mad:", except they didn't use the word "messed":D. I just should never have offered to do anything in the first place, and then the whole instance would never have occurred. Sometimes I just take things on, without thinking or questioning, and that's my Asperger's too. I am completely hopeless at negotiation. Sometimes I'm too nice and don't firmly say "no". So, obviously the situation is another social gaffe that I really ought to have seen in advance would happen but I just didn't!

I'll have to deal with my relative again. Fortunately though they'll have moved on from this within a day or two, as they always do.
I can fully relate to this as I often don't reply in the way I mean it to come across and then later think of how I should have said it. As a result I find myself avoiding people related situations as much as is practical. I also find myself being "too nice" and agreeing to things I don't want to do. An example of this is that I've just agreed to pick up my stepson when he stays with us every other weekend. OH doesn't want to do it because he says he's too tired after driving home from work and now he's got a new job where he's finishing later (5:30). Previously his mum was picking stepson up but she doesn't want to do it anymore due to animosity with stepsons mum who is trying to turn kids against this side of the family so MIL got a dirty look off her grandaughter last time and is fed up of being kept waiting so she doesn't want to do it anymore. I've agreed to do now for some reason, probably because I felt sorry for OH about his stress but thinking about it I will only finish work half an hour before him when I start my new job and I don't even like the kid! Irritating spoilt brat he is

I've freecycled a lot of stuff as an 'offerer' or whatever the term is, and occasionally dropped off stuff - I've never expected any recompense, nor ever been offered any to be honest.
You could always offer some glitch stash, or a HM bun or biscuit or jar of something HM, if you wanted.
    HTH

I don't really have much of a glitch stash :o

this is very kind of them, normally you don't need to give something but someone did bring me some chocs once.
When I freecycled fruit last year someone brought me a jar of their jam when they had made it :D

I think I'll offer some of the wine when it's ready

I am also on week one - using myfitnesspal on my ipad and a step counter - apparently its going to be 39 weeks before I am anywhere near what is considered "normal" -
(no I am not the size of a routemaster bus, size 14 on the rear and nearer 16 on the top half)
if your physical health will allow it then setting yourself a target for steps really helps. I set myself a low 6 thousand but I've actually been doing over 12 each day and it really seems to be making my metabolic rate move
I've never had to worry about my weight very much but hormones sabotaged me and so this is a whole new world of misery and pain I am having to get used to - or not!

(39 weeks - OMG I could have had a baby in that time!)

I am taking mine one week at a time don't know when I will be normal :D weight that is :rotfl::rotfl:

I do walk loads everyday even more when working :)

For those who can't get the BS code to work, try adding 1 to the end of it

Or the same code twice followed by 1

    The things children say, pt2...

Small boy: ‘I know how to make babies, you know.’
‘Oh, really?’ replies the grown-up, as casually as possible.
‘Yes, I do. I’ve just learnt how to make babies.’ A [ahem!] pregnant pause. ‘Do you know how to make babies then?’
‘I do, yes,’ replies the grown-up.
‘How do you make babies, then?’ the little boy asks, looking the grown-up straight in the eye.
‘You go first,’ says the grown-up.
‘Well’, says the little boy,‘I knock the “y” off and add “i-e-s’’.’

Yes that made me laugh :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Carp day at work so have just asked for a change of roles. Payroll here is way too complex with all the add on reports.

If they cant find me something I wont be too bothered I am much better in a smaller environment anyway and know I will manage with the help of the this site which has totally changed my shopping habits.

we had a little blip last month but now I reckon it was because OH was on the wrong tax code and when it was righted the tax was adjusted. Mind you we had a couple of nice days away staying in Ripon so I spent that so it did not actually make a difference :D

We have no outings organised at all in September (apart from the final JL cake run) so its going to seem like a very long month. All of the brood are running around doing exciting things so it makes it worse when our exciting event is the new fence!

One of the highlights of next month for me will be looking at yet more houses.
One of the last ones we went to had coffee and biscuits, so the kids made sure they had a biscuit each :D
I wish I was doing something as exciting as putting up a new fence, I've just seeded our front garden so I'll spend most of next month watching grass grow :rotfl:

:j I forgot about JL cake and coffee, that's eating lunch out sorted for me and Mr Dip for my birthday :j :D
