I don't know about this. I thought it was that most people (non-Asperger's) at work spent two-thirds of the day checking their i-Phone, surfing non-work-related on the internet and chit-chatting with their colleagues, whereas Asperger's spent the whole day working and chatting to no-one:o (though I exaggerate a bit... on that last one:rotfl:). So I'd query a little, just a gentle query;):rotfl::rotfl:, that the majority actually spent a third of their day working.
Of course, I've no source for my 'two-thirds of the day' thought. It's just something I've got vaguely from somewhere, perhaps it's actually closer to 85 or 90%:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. Another pointed barb from me:mad::rotfl:.
Savvy please tell me about these jobs where people are allowed to do this because I want oneActually for a period of time my previous job was like this. I spent a lot of time web surfing for personal interests and being on this forum a lot, also reading books on my phone
I know I won't be able to do this in my new job which I start next Monday but I dont mind. I only did it at my old job because I was treated badly and paid inadequately.

I get paid weekly and i never get excited about my wages. I bank them straight away.
in my experience, i am not really sure that big wages are all they are cracked up to be.
My manager earnt double the amount he does now but the pressure, the time away from his son etc weren't worth it.
I only take home 40 pounds more now than 14 years ago. But i seem to be doing so much more with it.:Dgrocery challenge 9.86/600 -

I've worked out that when start my new job I'll be able to save £200 per month towards the cost of my car. My bubble payment ends in September next year so I'll have £2400 saved towards it so hopefully my bank will give me a loan for the rest over 1-2 years. I really hate not owning my car but I love my car so much!0

Regarding the petrol. The 4p off was probably collected the previous month, whereas the 18p is from the next month. If that makes sense:rotfl: you can't combine the 2 together. Hth
Found out mum was using 2 diferent t clubcards :mad: Sorted that now but still dont think she understands
Topped up the car and got the 18p a litre off. Saved the grand sum of £2.50 lol0 -
Oh dear:(:(:(:rotfl::rotfl:.
Starting off with a couple of examples of what it's like having Asperger's. Maybe a lot more people, who sadly don't have the condition:D:D:laugh:, also encounter these things:think:.
One from yesterday, but I have not been worrying about this as I will never see that person again. Another customer bumped into me and said "Sorry". I replied "That's alright" - unfortunately with a bit of a muffled voice, as sometimes that happens (maybe something to do with my brain processes?) and I'm not confident enough to speak forward properly - on the other hand I am over-assertive at times:D:eek::rotfl::rotfl:.
I got a very indignant response of "I said sorry." She must have misheard me. I perhaps should have then replied "Sorry - I said 'That's alright', you must have misheard me." but I just kept completely quiet as it's sometimes a small effort saying things and by the time I've thought about it (yes, it seems to have to go through some brain process first) the time has passed.
I wouldn't have mentioned this here, a day later, but I'm only doing so following something that's happened today.
A relative offered to do something for me by time X. Of course I said don't worry and offered to do it myself. :(I just follow what other people want and offer to do things for them sometimes. Five minutes later I changed my mind (circumstances change) and asked them to do it by X+. (In other words, giving them more time to do something than they originally offered.)
They're actually in a better position than what they were under their own offer. Of course, it doesn't come across that way at all. "Alright, if I have to be messed around:mad:", except they didn't use the word "messed":D. I just should never have offered to do anything in the first place, and then the whole instance would never have occurred. Sometimes I just take things on, without thinking or questioning, and that's my Asperger's too. I am completely hopeless at negotiation. Sometimes I'm too nice and don't firmly say "no". So, obviously the situation is another social gaffe that I really ought to have seen in advance would happen but I just didn't!
I'll have to deal with my relative again. Fortunately though they'll have moved on from this within a day or two, as they always do.0
