Don't think it is looking good on the job front again. Ds had interview on Tuesday, we worked out that over 2 days the company would be interviewing at least 400 people for only 30 jobs.
He spoke with someone he knows and who also had a job interview on the Wednesday and he has been given a job told by phone yesterday.
I guess i will have to pick up all the pieces yet again when he get's the rejection email/letter. Why can't a company just give him a bloody chance to show them what he can do.
The disability advidor at the jobcentre is a complete waste of time, why he is in that job is beyond me, he thinks DS shouldnt worry about a job as he gets his benefits. 18 year old just left to rot on the benefit pile.
so fed up, he would be better off money wise on benefits, but all he wants is to have a job like "normal" people do. Soul destroying.0 -
For NI Elite near Belfast A (the one near the docks) Milky Way Stars SEL was still showing 50p on the central aisle this morning. Worth a look if you are there as flash packs for cinema.0

I've just popped back from A. An 'emergency' shop, of sorts (although I had this eventuality catered for already!:D:D:rotfl:). Shopper behind me - she volunteered to let me queue-jump as I was only buying one item - appeared to be doing a Morries comparison:eek:. She bought some Walkers 20 pack variety (A £3 vs M £2), some Soda and Tonic Waters (appeared to have four, which hopefully work vs M mbuy - I think that would be slightly better vs T but not lose out vs M if all went well) and some biscuits that don't lose much (50p vs 57p) vs M. Plus I saw enough other items that didn't seem too bad. I suspect that she was totally unaware and she didn't leave me the receipt.
Fwiw, Walkers Meaty Variety 20 have a small amount of TCB Snap & Save until 1st September - doesn't work out as good as any glitched crisps though. Also, the BM Turkey Dinosaurs (they can be used vs anyone except M, assuming they have picked them up in M:( - they are somewhat more expensive there) - these have TCB as well, fwiw, but it may be that it would cost you more than the amount of the cashback if you need to copy your receipt in order to scan it to your computer and upload it, depending on what your own systems are.
Righto, some recent posts on here for me to read later and catch up with (maybe reply to) - we're going out now for the rest of the afternoon as it's quite a decent day!:T I'm glad that Morries price checking is over for the rest of the week and weekend:rotfl::rotfl:. (Although, actually, in a way, I'm not as I do like doing it!:D:j:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Getting my leisure - or maybe more of my leisure? - now though.) See you later!:wave:0 -

The main etiquette with Freecycle and Freegle is simply to keep to the date and time of the arrangement whether collecting or delivering or having items delivered. And letting the person know if you need to change arrangements.
Most of the grumbles about those sites are to do with people just failing to turn up to collect something and not letting the donor know, meaning the item is still in the donor's way. I've had this happen, and it can get a teensy bit aggravating when someone doesn't come for the fridge you put by the front door to make it easier to pick up.
Donors mostly are just happy for their stuff to go to someone who appreciates it. I've always been content with a simple thankyou, but I agree a bottle of wine would have gone down very well :rotfl:
Happy winemaking ! x“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0 -

Witch Hazel, I'm wondering has your son thought about voluntary work? That way he'd be able to keep his benefits and do a worthwhile job, best of both worldsI used to volunteer at a rabbit and guineapig rescue centre and I enjoyed that job far more than any paid job I've ever had.

I concur. Helps you to feel like you're doing something worthwhile. Pretty sure I've said it before but it was a real self-esteem booster for me last yearDebt free 6th December 2014
