Mildred you might want to read this.

Looks like big watt hoovers are going to be no more under new legislation.
Me and Mr TS were discussing it earlier and he thinks it will be false economy. And he is the biggest "greenie" I know. He reckons that people will just hoover more defeating the object of the legislation, maybe needed to go over the same carpet few times if the lower watt do not work as well. He said he thinks people might even be tempted to hoover more often if they think they do not have as powerful machine.
What do you lot reckon?
We might all go back to carpet sweepers  God how I hated that ruddy thing as a child. It was so temperamental, you just had to flick it the wrong way and you had an extra pile of hairy dust to sweep up
I'm not having it!! On account of being a nearly carpet free house:rotfl::rotfl:

Put much more eloquently than me Mildred.
I have no command of the English language. :rotfl:
I didn't think we had that powerful hoover but ours is a 2000w that seems quite a bit above the recommended 1600w.
I drive everyone mad when I hoover I have to get in every corner and I use the nozzle far too much. I tend to burn hoovers out.0 -

He's ok now but we're going over there for 3 weeks in October and I think I may have problems on the return flight..I shall try and placate him by reuniting him with his hooversI really feel for you. I hope you find a way for the three of you to be together permanently in the future. If that's what you want of course

Vs M
1 x ASDA Smartprice Spaghetti Bolognese (300g)£0.71£0.75
2 x Nestle Munch Bunch Fromage Frais - Strawberry & Ra...£1.00N/A
1 x Cadbury Dairy Milk Smooth Desserts (4x70g)£1.00N/A (possibly Tvs A?* But quite expensive price match at £1 even if works)
2 x Batchelors Pasta 'n' Sauce Cheese, Leek & Ham Flav...£1.00N/A:rotfl:
1 x Bisto Shepherd's Pie (375g)£1.00£1.00 (vs T same price)
1 x ASDA Smartprice Mayonnaise (500ml)£0.40£0.40 (vs T same price)
The Frijj Chocolate milkshake is a no-go vs M:
1 x Frijj Chocolate Milkshake (471ml)£0.50£1.30
As are these horrid items:
2 x Cathedral City Mature Cheddar (350g)£4.00£8.00
Seriously Strongs (N/A in A) on offer in M, but even those rubbish priced IMO. Twinpack Cathedral "down" in M - I use the word "down" very very loosely as nowhere near back to what it was before. Quite expensive current offer on that, can't wait for it to end - avoid!
S/P Tomato Ketchup quite expensive these days (was 19p some time ago):
1 x ASDA Smartprice Tomato Ketchup (550g)£0.36£0.36
Very useful public information service aren't I really, informing people of the price increases the stores probably wish we had forgotten (and which, I'm sure, sadly, most people have forgotten. There will be people who see the Twinpack Cathedral and think - or even maybe exclaim out loud - "Ooh! Reduced price!:D":().
:rotfl: = Joke item, do not buy. 50p is very very dear price (these sorts of items were very briefly 82p bogo'f' in T until a day or so ago - and that was a consistent price bogo'f' so would have compared on APG at the time. Another one we missed and paid full price for them as failed items!:()
*_pale_ Just flipped to the T comp. and T (were £2.00) now more expensive than what I thought. £2.58!:eek:_pale_0 -

A friend was telling me about this today. He reckons good time to buy a powerful one. To be honest I can't manage a heavy vacumn and the powerful ones are heavy.
We are huge 'greenies' too.
I was suprised the cheap vax today was only a 1200 watt.
Friend says argos have taken the wattage off some of their descriptions.

The latest 'want' is an electric pasta maker. Why? The pasta Ive eaten tastes just fine out of the one with the handle :rotfl::rotfl:
Me niether. I am really sad I put all mine away in my special gadget cupboard. :rotfl:
It contains my toaster, food processor, blender, juicer, scales and spiraliser. (The spiraliser makes great "spaghetti" out of courgettes.
I have more gadgets, that live upstairs in my spare room as I only have a small kitchen. :rotfl:
(KITCHEN gadgets I mean before you smutty minded people jump in!!)fairclaire wrote: »pile of pallets and have a fab book with amazing stuff that you can make from pallets.
I like the sound of that. Do you have a link please?
My dad made an amazing huge shed out of pallets. It was vey impressive.:jWhat MM was saying about the halti riding up towards/over the eyes happened with us but I thought that was just because she insisted on pulling and she did once she got used to it
Whatever is worth a try till you find the answer as a dog that pulls is a PITA on walks as you already know.
Ceaser taps their leg with his foot as it takes their minds off pulling but because of ops did not want to boot her :rotfl:
Yes some dogs do just keep pulling on a head collar with a twisted head. That's why you need to do training in conjunction whatever you attatch your lead too.
I'm not a fan of Mr CM. No need to be giving any dog a boot. Positive reinforcement will work, you just need time & patience. x"I expect to pass through this world but once. Not saying you do/or are planing to but everything till wise if not store wide is on cctv. As many others have said in the past it is easy for them to see when the voucher was redeemed and who was at the checkout
Will they? who knows, is it worth it? not in my opinion apart from these chicken breasts I can not remember the last time I lost in asda probably about 2 years ago with the cheese
So I don't want a ban or anything more serious.
Trouble is people get consumed with greed  and thats all it is as anyone that has been here a while has had the opportunity of many many glitches of free/virtually free/or better than free items.
