I have always wanted to try one so at that price seems worth it. I do struggle with lifting pans, I don't have much strength in my hands due to the osteoarthritis so this might be a good gadget for me to have.
My thumb seized up while I was washing up yesterday and all OH and DD2 could do was laugh at me making a noise, they didn't even offer to take over, it was so painful.I'm not even 50 yet, God knows what it will be like in another 10 years. I was told at 30 I had the wrist of a 60 year old.
I do know from seeing elderly female relations from my mum's side suffering I must not give in to it like some of them did. My mum had a friend who suffered and she lived to 90 and she used to knit to keep those joints moving. Not that I am advocating I should take up knitting. :rotfl:

Don't get Bakery Double Chocolate Cookies (not that you would anyway) - showing T at 70p on msm but comparing on APG to £1. As it stands, of course it all could be different tomorrow. Or even the next minute:rotfl:.
Also looks like they are appearing to be more of a purchase than they are (appearing at 1.43) and therefore inflating the competitor prices. B/C is 023757000100 (I'm sure someone will correct me if these turn out to relate to some completely different type of cookies).
1.43 x ASDA Bakery Double Chocolate Cookies (5)£1.00£1.00
This shop is from 7.30pm tonight (21st August).
Also White Finger Rolls (023996000067) - calls them "LARGEWHITE6" on the receipt - also appear to be inflating the prices slightly:
1.08 x ASDA Chosen by You White Finger Rolls (6)£0.54£0.70
But... they are part of 3 for £1.50 mbuy and the other items in the mbuy that they bought (2x Part Baked White Baguettes) are appearing at total of £1.00. So, it seems like it adjusts to being slightly more than the actual mbuy paid, due to the 1.08. Don't know if this would be of much help, if only prices on the White Finger Rolls elsewhere were more favourable?
This:
1 x ASDA Large White Baps (6)£0.50N/A
Continuing to return N/A for Morries, despite Morries having their M Large White Baps (6) this week at 50p. Perhaps they can't determine the exact size or something and therefore they return N/A. I knew this would be the case, and this womble merely confirms it. I've never seen any other result in the past* on the APG for Morries (sometimes Morries have them in, sometimes they do not - they appear to have bought them in this week as a 'special purchase' at 50p) and, until I ever see a price for M appearing on the APG for these, they won't be put on my lists. (HTH.) Or in the unlikely event that A goes real cheap on them, on standard price (as 'reduced' items (whoopsies) do not count as items to the APG).
*For clarity, I've never seen any other result in the future either:rotfl::rotfl:, or at present!0 -
Evening all
Fuming:mad:
Dad went for his weekly transfusion at 9am and got home 7.30pm.
I do believe the NHS is a truely marvellous thing but organisation of the hospital has gone to pot. He had an iv in his arm most of the day and had to be unplugged when he needed the toilet.
he needed both blood and platelets this week which explains why he has had a rough few days.
Visiting again next week.
Dd was a good auntie whilst out with her sil and niece. Becky wanted to do the Go Ape at the gruffalo trail and as she needed an adult with her (age 13) dd did it too.
They did the extreme bit but had a great time.
Missed chicken and andrex as too be honest I just couldn't be bothered. Ultra sound on my ankles today so not walking well.
I really enjoyed watching it unfold last night, took me back to the big glitch.
I hope no one was stung too badly.
As AJ pointed out it is important to only risk what you can afford to lose.
Very wise advice to the newer members on here.
Still have SK e vouchers to use up but might just hold out a bit longer.

Crocheting seems very popular. Not for me I must admit, but I see some amazing stuff made on FB by people who do it. It's supposed to be very easy to learn too.
I'd rather get in my shed but have had no time. I have 'come by' a big pile of pallets and have a fab book with amazing stuff that you can make from palletsI had a rough go at a wine rack thing the other day
Tomorrow if I get time I'm going to cut some wood for an ottoman/chest type thing. If I get time.......

Is he free tomorrow? My lightening housework catch up tonight didn't have time for hoovering:rotfl:
He would gladly do it for you
Just before we went out shopping today I nipped upstairs to do something and when I came back down he had the hoover out - can I just hoover this bit before we go mummy?
Whenever his dad goes back to Poland he always starts with I miss daddy, I want to see daddy, I want to go on an aeroplane and go to daddy's,...then it quickly goes to I want to use daddy's hoover, daddy has only got one hoover, it's a red one, I like daddy's hoover etc etc
When I rang OH today DS grabbed the phone and asked him if his hoover was working :rotfl:0 -
mutley_muppet wrote: »If you are going for a head collar, you might want to look at a Canac Gentle Leader instead of a Halti.
Halti head collars come in set sizes which are fine for some dogs, but in other dogs (that are between sizes) they can ride up into the dogs eyes? Not nice. The Canac Gentle leader is fully adjustable across the dogs muzzle, so you can fit it properly.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Canac-Gentle-Leader-Collar-Medium/dp/B0013K81FM
Most dogs take a while to get used to head collars thats partly why I prefer a harness. I'm sure your trainer will tell you this, but never attach an extending lead to a head collar as it can cause terrible neck injuries. Also never pull your dog in a head collar, they are only for gentle guidance.
Good training with positive reinforcement is the best thing to stop pulling over any equipment.
Good luck and I hope I haven't gone on too much. I waffle when I am tired lol.
I have been watching clips on youtube on haltis and gentle leaders and they are saying both are good.
Thank you for your advice, much appreciated and no your not waffling on. :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
